Here we go again, having looked at some of the threads that have been posted lately there are a few jangled nerves. Bad manager, rubbish players, no money !!!!! We are Gillingham, and this is not unusual. We have had and still to play a vast amount of pre season friendlies, LOOK at the results. I think Hessy has it right, get a momentum going, we are winning and scoring goals, and before anyone says they are non league sides, I feel it do,s not matter its how the team as a whole are gelling and from what I can see its working. If we continue this sort of form into the start of the season and we can win half the first ten games its a damn site better than recent starts. I live in the Algarve now and in recent weeks have been with Bristol City, Notts forest, Brighton and now Rotherham, for pre season training all I can say is get your season ticket, STAY LOYAL , UTG see us in div 1 next season
I think we have a great side as many fellow gills fans will agree so I am totally behind them and I have every belief this is going to be our season.
I haven't seen too many people looking worried yet! Everybody seems to be very positive and even the boo boys have silenced for once!
Plenty of reasons to be cheerful: Fresh new team Kedwell Plenty of pre-season goals Whelpdale Lee The unlikely (but possible) scenario of King returning to his former self New season not too far away... Jack Payne, Curtis Weston, Lewis Montrose A manager that the fans actually get behind Football!
Bichall's news is certainly a set back but we surely did not expect going through the season without any injuries to any of our players. With the number of friendlies that we have played so far, it is inevitable that someone would pick up an injury. However, our squad is strong and I feel that with the players we have, we can still make a strong start to the season. If we cannot get over this hurdle, this early in the season, then we have no chance of getting promoted. Keep the faith .UTG
