July 9th away. Comprehensive 9-0 win against St Blazey.....some good performances against a very ordinary team. Did what was required, can ask no more . Two trialists....A David Ijaha ex Whitehawks player who has never played league football as yet. Also a Josh Lelan who I haven't checked out as yet. Most players got minutes on the pitch so all good towards fitness levels.
Think next match against Torquay might be a bit more demanding. I never read anything into pre-season matches win or lose. Just hope they get match fit and nobody gets injured.
Still think Torquay will be a sterner test. I thought that was their next one and forgot about Tavvy. Seem to be able to score but hope they don't do it all in pre-season and then run out in the league.
6 - 0 to Argyle tonight versus Bovey Tracey. That's 22 in 3 games now. Think the opposition needs to be a wee bit harder.
A friend of mine played against Argyle at tavistock and said the big guy looked a good player.. but it was only Tavy..

It will take me till Christmas to remember who is ours by name let alone who they are. Is this a reality check?
See there was another pre-season game tonight. Argyle 12 - 0 Elburton. Not much opposition about then......
Not sure what a 12-0 win suggests for the future. Interesting that he played what looks like (to me!) close to the best starting 11. By all accounts there was some impressive play up front so at least the forwards should be confident.
Weymouth 1-1 Argyle.....we used 20 players during this game.....most of the subs coming on in the 65th minute.....dubious penalty by the sounds of it given against us.....not too much joy in this one.....best to move on and forget.
