... and counting down the international break before RTB starts his proper thread.

QPR has always been a good away day for the travelling support and suits us ... tight old ground, always a sell out and loads of noise from us.
And lots of memories from the wild league cup penalty shoot out night to the 3-0 with Patterson's crazy penalty save. Throw in one of my son's appearance as the Sunderland mascot, thanks to Bob Murray, and another having to go in the home section, not too pleasant, and it all adds up to decades of mad days out. I've just booked flights for this one and can't wait to get down, see the lads and see what this wonderful bunch of kids can do next.

Slightly off topic but Internationals should be played mid week unless its the finals of a tournament, pain in the arse they are

My first ever London away game was QPR. As such always had a bit of a soft spot.

Murky little ground but noisy and having been a few times over the years always found them a canny sound bunch.

We do alright there as well, expect we do alright this time too.

I hope they keep up the start, as in, not rock bottom which is sadly where I seen them pre season, cos that’s a good club with some absolutely fantastic community projects and I wish them well.

That's a very good post and you make some excellent points ...

... personally I fkn hate them <laugh>

First went in the 70's, as a young lad, and met by a gang outside, fortunately happened to be inadvetently alongside some Peterlee nutcases.

Went in the home section about ten years back, horrible bunch of bigots.

They have a noxious imbecile in a sombrero who should be taken out by a sniper.

I can't abide Ainsworth and don't get why anyone would admire his 'in charge of the dodgems style'.

They always seem to be trying to cheat the system.

That's all for now ....

That’s a bit strong! I wasn’t even there….
