The club are currently considering different options for pre-match music, with a view to stirring a bit more of an atmosphere. I don't just mean actual music in the 5-10 minutes before kickoff, but the music they come out to and what, if anything, is played right before kickoff.

Personally I think we should have something really rousing to get us going as the teams come out, or just before kickoff. The Elvis thing occasionally threatened to work in that way, but it was forever overlapping with the start of the match and going tits up. The club are also considering various tiger-related songs to be played in the 5-10 minutes prior to kickoff.

Anyone got any ideas they could use?

Seems most songs about tigers are either cheesy as owt (Abba - The Tiger, Survivor - Eye of the Tiger) or not exactly rousing (DJ Shadow - The Tiger, Pink Floyd - When the Tigers Broke Free). Still, I always found that William Blake poem thing really lame, so anything would be an improvement.

I'd go non-tiger related, something most people know and like, like ACDC, Led Zep or the Stones.

Club Foot by Kasabian is a football song which I'd like to see, I think the music we come out to needs to be fast though, not the slow opera style which is used now. The one we used to have(Discocop) had a rhythm and people clapping too it which created a bit of sound. There isn't even cheering now when the players names are read out as the music is too loud and Steve Jordan is drowned out by the music.

What would happen if we didn't play any music at all ? Imagine the atmosphere if you will, just give it a thought. What would happen if home and away fans were left to make their own atmozferical tunes ?

If it's good enough for the Olympics opening ceremony. It's good enough for us.

    Obviously...

I live not to far from Folsom prison. It does not look like a happy place from the outside.

I was more than happy with Tiger Tiger, and the old style music.

I hate any old song - there should be some history, or some relevance to the team. We have no nothing "historic" like some clubs, so stick to something relevant. Otherwise it is just a pop / rock song.

At least the old music was timed to let you ALL know when the teams came out, and I liked that familiarity.

The Elvis song was a good idea doomed to faliure. The timing was always to pot and it made it a little bit silly and distracting (like chasing the flush, you never win!).

I'd also go for Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve and My Favourite Game by The Cardigans.

I don't see what's wrong with Happy Hour - it's tailor-made for us, everyone knows about London 0 Hull 4 etc.
Could get the Mick Ronson penned Jean Genie in there too, although it's a bit more tenuous but a great song. I think ACDC's Back in Black would be good too. But anything rousing would be an improvement.
