Started in The Avenue, was in there before 1 and it was very busy. (Beef Pipers crisps man!) But then had a bit of a retro trip in 2 establishments I hadnt been in for over 20 years. The Navy Club, wow, both downstairs rooms were jam packed, canny pint loved it. The Fort, not as busy but enjoyed it, a pint and a double rum and coke. Sorry @Smug in Boots didnt make The Fans Museum, but I think that may be my normal route in future.
Had a few in spoons. The boyo likes the pizza in there, otherwise wouldn't be going in. That said Guinness was £2.58 a pint, practically giving it away, was canny too. After, had one in the church door, opposite Angelo's. Canny in there, then home. Chilled day in terms of pub crawling but a good one.
Nah. That's semi respectable. I am talking about the old one, down the bottom, it's lifting in there but as I say, the boyo likes the pizza so got a table next to the window and stayed out the way
Ha. Never the Joseph's. Worst of the worst. Yates seem to be closed with new branding on the front. Think it looks like a craft union instead of stone gate.
Not sure how old the bairn is, but Josephs would be good, "This is where you will end up if you dont do your homework"
I never like advertising this place too much as for selfish reasons but The Manor bar on Sunniside is where we go before and after the game. Never rammed or any knackers in. The young lad that runs it has the Guinness and Cruzcampo spot on.
Aye. Sustainability and providing opportunities for youngins to work. Nice project. Good beers. Hope it lasts , as it doesn't seem to get too busy and isn't the cheapest.
Yes we found it dear, I struggled to pick something to drink. I drink Guinness and I'm not a fan of IPA etc
Been in life of Riley (formerly the Glass Spider) the last few times I’ve been out on match day and it’s been canny, not too packed and they have sky in now which is a bonus for the early game. used to go to Street Bar (formerly revs) but that is packed and a mission to get to the bar so avoid it on a home match day.
Aye. I have just recently got into Guinness. Easy drink and not heavy on the gas. Aye, they probably have some good stout cans but won't be cheap.
