What did everybody think of the new-ish video montage before the thudding heart-beat? It showed pictures and highlights of key players and "We Will Rock You" mixed into a few other songs. Very flash, very up-lifting, very modern. I really enjoyed it. Edit - What changes would people make pre-match and at half time?
The videos themselves were alright. The transitions between songs were abhorrent. Too much of that colour wash effect on the videos though.
Yes, very uplifting. So upiifting we drew 1-1 with MK Dons in the uplifting, electric atmosphere it created.
I think it's when we sing the "Hull City FC" song, after "the world has ever seen" there's now a do doo doo bit. Which Wednesday I think did. It looks like we copied it off them.
I thought... If only they put as much effort into the rest of the marketing and match-day experience as they do to the videos, they might actually find themselves playing said videos to a full stadium, rather than a half-empty one.
That's a fair point actually. Look at the half time entertainment. It's great they've finally added some but it's a bit lacklustre. You go to other stadiums and they've got music and replays etc... We just have somebody introduce the contestant, the kicks happen and that's it. There's little hype around it. Drag it out a bit more, not quickly take three kicks and get off the pitch to play those annoying Flamingo Land and Sexual Exploitation adverts (I'm not even sure the latter is suitable for the age of most of the children in the South Stand).
Sounds like you might be on about that mishmash of various tunes that everyone is singing lately. Our version has bits about Steve Bruce signing Diame and sending Ben Area back home. Wednesday sang a version of that.
It seems appropriate to add doo doo to a City chant as our performances of late have been doo doo and Bruce's team selections, tactics and substitutions have been mostly doo doo for two years.
