CTV pre final countdown which will be broadcast at 6:30 PM every night this week, seemed to be very optimistic last night about the prospects of David Luiz making it ! Not a Dicky Bird about about Cahill though! I am convinced if we can get the pair of them into full training before the weekend we stand a great chance in the final! Without them we're done for!
Would be nice to have them both, but without Cahill, up steps Boswinga and Hutchinson goes to right back. This yellow card thing is bloody ridiculous, a German mate of mine is choking on his bratwurst about Bayerns' suspensions as well. Let's hope the sort this next year, along with the neutral ground fiasco. And lets' hope Luiz and Cahill are both OK.
Surely Hutchinson wasn't even in the C.L squad??? Someone can put me right I'm sure but we may be looking at Bos in the middle and Ferreira at R.B. Least they don't have 2 of the worlds best wingers!!!
I am not 100% certain, but when the semis were over and these suspensions were made known, there was something mentioned that this rule could/would not be amended for another 3 years!
Here's what Robbie said after the Blackburn game, taken from the Chelsea website - "Roberto Di Matteo reported that David Luiz and Gary Cahill will be pushed in training this week but it is likely to be a late decision on their availability for the match against Bayern Munich."
Obviously TEL ,Robbie and the medics will be updating the sitiuation day by day this week! As of last night Luiz himself said he felt optimistic about playing! Lets hope there's more good news on CTV tonight!
Thanks TEL, we're 9 hrs in front of UK at the moment, so everything that happens where you are ,happens here in the middle of the night, meaning I'm just finding out what's happening while you lucky sods are into your first pint after work !!!! Fingers crossed for Luiz and Cahill. Come on CTV, better information please, not the same old drivel repeated 25times, and a day out of date.
On a positive note, at least they do well when up against the best players in the world. It's only when they come up against they likes of Downing they seem to get found out.
Don't be so negative, they'll both make it.....unfortunately, they'll both be off injured in the first 15 minutes
I wouldn't rule that out!! Personally I think one will make it, my money is on Luiz. Realistically though, you'd have to think we need both to have a chance. Bos has done OK at centre but it would also mean our third choice right back playing. Does anyone know whether Bayern have any injury worries or the impact the suspensions will have on their 11??

Here's the latest - "Gary and David are going to try to train with us today,' Di Matteo said" Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ead-Champions-League-final.html#ixzz1uwY8Twv9 some good news is that Malouda may be sidelined!
Thats encouraging TEL ! Shall have to watch Blues News tonight! As for Malouda, I know he struggles , but we do need an experienced bench warmer!
Apparently, both Cahill &Luis trained today. From the website again - "Gary Cahill and David Luiz both trained with the rest of the squad on Tuesday afternoon, but Florent Malouda is a doubt for Munich. Neither defender has featured competitively since picking up injuries last month, Cahill in the Champions League semi-final against Barcelona and David Luiz in the FA Cup semi against Tottenham, but both are in with a chance of featuring in Munich."
Experienced bench warmer required yes. Sturridge and maybe even the totally inept Kalou might be able to change the shape of a game but I doubt Malouda could change his underpants effectively!
