Just got my tickets so I'm getting excited already.

The International matches have zero interest apart from the Sunderland players, good shout ref Alvarez from The Relic earlier.

Now that the transfer window madness has died down we can concentrate on football again.

I reckon if we played QPR tomorrow we'd win so the last game is already fading in my mind.

Spurs at home is a great match to really start the season, should be a good crowd, especially as we've only had once home game so far.
Nearly everyone's back off holiday now and I'm expecting an attendance around the Man Utd match.

Now that we don't need to consider Borini or 'shop window' Fletcher I expect to see Giacherrini and Wickham played in their correct positions.

Alvarez should get a great welcome, he's a truly class international and I'm surprised people aren't more excited about him.

My wish for the match is a winner from Altidore that would absolutely raise the roof <ok>

Saw nothing v liverpool that concerns me about spurs, we can take them, like you say, expecting a decent crowd again, a jozy winner would be great, 5-0 up at half time would be better

300/1 for 5-0. That`s full time like. Provided we don`t score in the 2nd half you win. :1980_boogie_down: Buggers will probably score another fower and spoil it.

Been wying up the odds & the bookies seem to favour 1-0 Spurs.

It isn't though mate, by the time our internationals are over it'll be all systems go to get the new lads introduced and a side chosen.

Do you know, we have some cracking players at Sunderland these days.

I remember watching international games hoping Tom Finney would get more than 10 minutes as a sub for Northern Ireland ....... rarely did <doh>

Now we have internationals all ower the pitch <ok>

It's a talented squad fella no doubt. Much stronger than last season. Doesn't make the next 10 days go any faster though <laugh> Hopefully Alvarez is starting so I can get a fix :p

The transfer window is closed. The season starts now!

I'm comfortable with our defence and midfield, but our strike force scares the **** of me.

For my own peace of mind, I need 20-25 points by Christmas.

If we don't have the minimum 20, I fear for this season.

Slightly off-track from the thread. The transfer window is closed. The season starts now!

Now's the time to play Spurs. They're not convincing by any means.

BUT! We need a win soon! Just to settle the squad nerves.
