I'm almost certain this is just the author of this article jumping the gun, but has Pratley already joined Bolton?? http://www.swansea.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=245123 (Second paragraph)
I have been monitoring the Sky Transfer Center and Pratley's name has not been mentioned since the announcement that he declined our contract.
He can't sign for anybody until his contract ends with us , even dorus is not a wolves player until his contract ends on the 30th, and I can't see pratley changing his mind
It's amazing how recalibrating a dole payment can be. If Pratley was in anyway a target of Bolton we would have had the usual drivel in the media of DP in talks with this club or that club, DP having a medical .... blah, blah, blah .... there's been nothing but silence - in fact it's been deafening. Other than that nonsense over Forest last year, when DP's agent had some concept of what Forest had purportedly offered, which Jenkins claimed to have countered equal or better, which DP then refused to sign, there's been no documented interest in DP from any other club - at least that I'm aware of.
If Swansea agree, then they can leave early. No point paying an extra month's wages for nothing. Also, as Jager pointed out, lots of players are on holiday at the moment, so things are bound to be a bit slow. Same thing with some players Swans are after. One day the Senna move is moving super fast and then deadly silence for days on end. Same with that guy from Spurs and a few others. It's all gone quite quiet. Lots of rumours, be no actual signings.
DDV had always planned on leaving and as soon as he came back from holiday he arranged the deal with Wolves. Pratley is still away too afaik, and so nothing will be agreed until he's back in the UK. All deals ratified on July 1st and pre-season starts that week also, so the big moves will be on or around that date. Any later than the first week in July and they'll be playing catchup in terms of fitness.
