Have all been relegated with their teams this year, boys the grass aint greener !!

Pratley. a shame he went but he always did his best for us and imo will be a legend for scoring against forest in that the play-offs
DDV. best thing for the club that he left, i truely beleive we would be relegated if he was in the team, so we had a lucky escape there!!
Marcus Senna got relegated with villarreal today !! maybe he should have lowered his wage demands and lit up the premier league with us !!

There will be some rich pickings to be had at villarreal !! get the check book out huw!!

    Thoughts on the ex/potential swans?

    PS

Sam ricketts has got to be worth a punt on next season, can cover both full back positions if i remember correctly :)

Nice article Norway, crazy how it worked for those three.

As for Rickets ... What goes around comes around

Rickets was right to move when he did and he has enjoyed fair few seasons in the premiership. he progressed well after his move but have picked up some long term injuries. A player will move for all sorts of reasons and dorus is the best or worst depending how you look at it by thinking like everyone else that wolves would have more chance of survival in the premiership than us....<laugh> still he was a good keeper and played his part in getting us promoted...

Yes shame re Pratley - however Siggs may not have been signed had Prats not left - similar-type of player and role but in a different class altogether

Question: should we do a Britton and re-sign Pratley??

i dont think so now as we have moved on. i liked pratters but we should be looking for better players now. i personally think danny can play his position and if we manage to get siggs then we will have enough. we need a couple of tall defenders and a couple of strikers and maybe another better goalkeeper to replace vorms no2...

    No, we shouldn't.

While Pratley did a great job for us, we have moved on. He hasn't exactly lit up the PL with Bolton like Britton, or Allen has done, and should we get Siggy, can't see how he would fit back in.

Re Pratley: I'd have a serious think about him if we don't land Siggy as he runs all day and can score goals. To be fair he hasn't had many opportunities this season. Don't forget he has been one of our better players in recent times. I don't think there's room for sentiment in football but the same could be said for vindictiveness.

As for Dorus, we've got better now in Vorm who has said he's staying. The criticism aimed at Tremmel was based on one game which is a tad unfair imo. Saw him in pre-season friendlies and he looked good so I don't think we need to spend there imo.

Senna. Well he made his choice. It could be asked why would we now look for bargains there when Villa Real weren't good enough to avoid relegation? Might be worth a peek though as NJ says and I'm sure Rodgers will be nosing around when he meets up with the Spain squad soon.

I would re sign pratts tomorrow! He didn't light up Bolton in the same way Leon didn't light up Sheffield utd ! He is perfect for us to use as a midfield option and he knows our system inside out. A great engine on him as well which we sometimes lack after 70 mins when we need to bring on gower for Joe or Leon.

Has goals in him as well which is an advantage over gower and orlandi.

Perfect squad player with no ego problems, not sure if hue thinks the same though!

On a free I would add Pratley and let go Gower - age and ability upgrade for a bench player - but would not pay Bolton a penny to release him from his contract. For me he would have to do what Britton did and negotiate his own release.
