After holding talks with Reading officials, Gus has decided to stay at Brighton, telling them he is committed to the Seagulls.

Reading are now going to approach Nigel Adkins, and want the deal done within a week. For us Leeds fans, that will mean Adkins off our list if he takes the job, and with Gus committing to Brighton wouldn't expect an approach for him. Who next? We will probably hunt an unemployed manager as it carries no contract buyout cash. Be interesting to see who is free at end of season when Colin goes.

Latest twitter noise is that DiCanio's odds have shortened considerably to the point that he's now clear favourite. Another clear favourite! *sigh* you couldn't make it up!

Brian McDermid did a fantastic job at Reading, so should go to the top of any list.

He had years as a backroomer at Reading and inherited a good team, as soon as he began making the team his own he was seriously out of his depth.
    Nowhere near good enoough IMO.

He was the only manager that you have had who gave you a bit of success.
