In negotiations with out of contract players apparently, or could he be about to move to west ham? he's gone from 33-1 to 6-4 today. Hopefully the former and not the latter

West ham lol Theirs a connection between him, the players and Sunderland! As far as I know it s him the players and Sunderland in his eyes! Damn well it should be! West ham lol

If, and imo it's a big IF, he goes it will be after discussions with ES.
Spurs would be the team if any but I believe he will be bringing new players in and still at the mighty SAFC next season.

I know nothing muz, sorry if I offended you. Just thought personally GP going to west ham was a cop out.

Not offended in the slightest, but in the football world money talks. Not much loyalty left in this game. I'd be surprised if he went there but wouldn't put my house on him staying here

Jeez I hope not. The bookies arent usually too far from the mark.

But I think he'll want a chance to finish what hes started. Unless this power struggle crap mentioned in the Daily Mail today has legs.

The last thing we need is another change of manager just as we seem to have turned a corner..I sincerely hope there is no truth in this...

Oatway says that Poyet and his #Safc staff toasted each other with Champagne at the training ground this afternoon.

Bookies favourite Poyet ruled out of Irons job
Posted by Hugh5outhon1895 on May 9, 2014 in Whispers
Gus Poyet today sprung from absolutely nowhere to the top of the betting lists to become the next West Ham manager!

But sources close to the Irons board have immediately ruled out the Uruguayan as a possible to take over from under threat Sam Allardyce.

The Sunderland boss was at the centre of speculation a few weeks ago that he would be ready to leave Sunderland at the end of the season.

At the time the Black Cats looked dead and buried as a Premier League force but have sensationally recovered to nail their spot in the big league with four straight wins against Chelsea and Manchester United (away) and Cardiff City and West Brom (home) have kept them afloat.

Poyet was eventually forced to deny the stories of his possible departure from the club but his emergence as a 6/5 favourite caused immediate excitement around the Boleyn.

However, a source close to the Hammers powerbrokers told ClaretandHugh exclusively: ” Gus’s name has been mentioned along with Malky Mackay and Harry Redknapp but he was immdiately ruled out on the basis of Premier League inexperience.

“Malky is also in much the same position whilst you can forget Harry – he won’t be returning.”

” Gus’s name has been mentioned along with Malky Mackay and Harry Redknapp, but Poyet was immediately ruled out given that he is already employed by a great Premier League club in Sunderland, who are a class above West Ham. When you add the fact the Hammers are run buy a bunch of feckless ****ers, it makes you wonder who put these odds together.

Fixed.
