Global Warming is a myth <whistle>

Actually been proved that the planet hasn't warmed in the past 10-15 years. Britain is also colder now than when the Romans were here 2,000 years ago <ok>

Politicians and media will spin the weather conditions on global warming when in fact the weather will be affected by the location of the jet stream. Should the jet stream be located south of Britain, then we will be in for a very cold winter and a lot of snow <ok>

The planet is warming in general as the melting icecaps clearly demonstrate, but that doesn't mean that everywhere will get warmer, or indeed consistently warmer year on year.

If I am correct, I remember reading that if global warming becomes as serious as it could, then Britain's weather will get colder.

Isn't there a theory that if the (north pole) ice cap melts the amount of cold water released into the North Atlantic will cut off the Gulf Stream - a warm ocean current that keeps our climate relatively mild for our latitude?

Yeah, it's the same sort of scenario as the climate shift consequences in the Day After Tomorrow. It's remarkable that that film was made 10 years ago and the world's governments still haven't done a damn thing about it <doh>

    Not my statement clown <doh>

Oh and it's also a fact that Britain was warmer during the Roman occupation era <ok>

P.S. Australia are one of the world's leading polluters. Maybe the government there will now do something about it.

Why the abuse Musty? What the hell is wrong with you? <grr>

Most of the global warming myth nonsense comes from the UN (as recently) from its own body that was discredited years ago when it fabricated its own data. Global warming may or may no be happening (many say the Earth is cooling in fact) but whatever the case there is abundant scientific evidence that suggests it's cyclical and man has yet again overestimated his own influence on nature. The Thames for example has seen palm trees on its banks as well as being completely iced over in the dim and distant past.

As for this 'forecast' I suspect it's based on the fact we had a warm Summer, nothing more. We may well have a colder Winter but I seriously doubt the weather men's ability to predict anything beyond a few days.
