As usual, the Euros will prove to be a shop window for many players who may not have been on the big clubs radar previously. Whilst we have no chance of getting major players some of the lesser lights might be a possibility. Any of them catch your eye? Here are a few that I wouldn't mind seeing in the hoops:

    Defenders -

    Gebre-Selassie (Cz)
    Papastathopoulous (Gr)
    Piszczek - (Pol)

    Midfielders-

    Jiracek (Cz)
    Eriksen (Den)
    Blaszczykowski (Pol)

    Strikers -

    Mandzukic (Cro)
    Krohn-Delhi (Den)
    Reus (Ger)

One or two have already been snapped up but any of them would be a boost...

Eriksen will go for £10m+. Weve already said we arent buying any player on what they do at the Euros which is right. You can end up shelling out for a player that looks good in a handful of games but isnt that good over the long run.

eg imagine if we signed Agyemang if he had that purple patch in the ACON. Wed all be excited we were getting a goal a game striker when in fact hes total turd!

There aren't any bargains after a major championship. Players that you or I might have noticed will also have been noticed by every manager in the game, therefore the players price gets inflated beyond the players worth. Last week the players you are talking about were very cheap, this week you're paying millions.

Besides Hughes said he wasn't even sending anyone to the championships as he doesn't believe on buying players based on one tournament.

I think most of these are fairly established, either in the national or Under-21s. Shows there's plenty of quality in some surprising places...

We don't want either Papastathopoulous (Gr) or Blaszczykowski (Pol).

People on here have enough trouble with Tarabat.

    Defenders -

Gebre-Selassie (Cz) Signed for Werder Bremen
Papastathopoulous (Gr) Real nasty piece of work but a great talent. Could be a great signing. Hear AC Milan are monitoring his development though.
Piszczek - (Pol) Plays regurly for Borussia Dortmund, no chance

    Midfielders-

Jiracek (Cz) Interesting player. Would be a fantastic addition. Unfortunately we're a little late as he signed a four-and-a-half year deal with VfL Wolfsburg only six months ago.
Eriksen (Den) Will cost a minimum £15 mill and we'll have to compete with Real/Barca, no chance.
Blaszczykowski (Pol) Also plays for Dortmund, but not regurly, good player that could be a good shout.

    Strikers -

Mandzukic (Cro) Signed for Bayern Munich
Krohn-Delhi (Den) Tried and tested outside of Denmark without luck. Not good enough.
Reus (Ger) Signed for Borussia Dortmund (in january but will join them before season starts)
