I'd prefer it if we got Berahino in exchange - maybe £10m plus Berahino. He's out of contract in the summer so should come pretty cheap.
If Odion Ighalo goes to West Bromwich or anywhere I think it will be a good move for him and the club as his form recently has not been as good as last season. A new situation may be what he needs. Also his cost would be a balance for Nathan Ellington.
They could loan him out or maybe sell him with an extra bonus paid if he scores x goals or makes x appearances. Still think the goals are in there somewhere. And if someone could open the magic door they might come pouring forth. ps : I remember when Luther went to Milan for £1 million only to return for £550,000 one year later. Any chance we could get the same deal (plus inflation of course) for iggi???
Ah, just looked again and he's gone back to Fiorentina already. Maybe it's one of those weird Pozzo loans
Been quite a lot about the Zarate move on Twitter in the last couple of days. A few 'sources' suggesting it is done, for around £2-3m, and will be in place to play against Millwall. If we get £17m for Ighalo and then Zarate for that, would be some very good business. Just hope we re-invest in the squad... once we offload a few more!
I guess we want to get a striker with some experience but maybe who won't expect to start every game..
Sounds like Stoke have agreed a few with West Brom for Berahino - reportedly £15m. Would imagine this will free up West Brom to now sign Ighalo. £15m does seem a lot for a player with 6 months left on his contract...
I still think he may not go to Stoke; I have always thought he would go on a free to us next summer. Looks like I'm wrong at the moment.
