Dear Supporters, We would like to inform you about our reflections on The Question & Answer event held at Rovers' Stadium on July 21st. We were pleased, that finally, the club agreed to hold the event so that there was a chance for ALL supporters to come and ask questions and find out what the board's explanations were with regards to our season-on-season failure and how they planned to put Rovers back on track. Obviously, our major concern was that the questions unanimously agreed upon at our second “Wellie” meeting of July 1st were NOT on the question list on the night and therefore we were unable to ask them. This is despite Nick Higgs ringing Mark prior to the event assuring him that all YOUR questions would be raised and answered. At the end of The Question & Answer we appealed to him that this was grossly unfair on all the supporters who took time to meet up with us over the 2 evenings this summer. Furthermore, to this date, Nick Higgs has not thought it necessary to contact Mark to apologise or give an explanation for it. As a result, we the leadership have decided to request a further small meeting with a/the Board Member(s) to get the answers to the questions that the fans, like yourself, desperately wanted answering. We hope this will happen before the end of August. We would also like to have this meeting to encourage the board to outline their vision for the club going forward until The UWE stadium is completed. Although we were largely disappointed with the outcome of The Question & Answer we acknowledge that some concerns (including yours) were addressed, namely some positive new that the stadium build will go ahead and the admittance that communication between the club and fans has to be improved, which we look forward to seeing put into action sooner rather than later to bring supporters and the board closer together. Please feel free to contact us with your reflections and ideas about The Question & Answer event held last Monday, our plan to write to the club to hold a further meeting and any other suggestions that you feel strongly about. We would like to thank all the supporters who have either attended any of the two “Wellie” Meetings or have supported/encouraged us via social media and/or email in our quest to improve the fortunes of Rovers, which we all so dearly want in order to see change for the better.
