Saturday saw only our second away defeat this season, with Cheltenham deserved to win, I don't think anyone can argue with that. It is a little frustrating knowing that we only needed a draw and we'd have won the title, never mind though, we only need a point to secure it, and that's if Port Vale win their last two games! Saturday is expected to be a sell out with 11500 expected, which would be excellent to see! I'm hoping that the knocks picked up on Saturday aren't serious, we could do with the likes of Joe Martin, Matt Fish and Adam Barrett all shaking off them knocks and being able to play Saturday! Up the Gills, ONE precious point needed! Almost time for 'CHAMPIONES, CHAMPIONES OLE OLE OLE'
With promotion in the bag and over 1400 of us cheering them on i wish we had gone for it and thrown caution to the wind .It would have been one of the greatest days in the clubs history if we had pulled it off .Both in the pubs beforehand and at the ground there was a party atmosphere and it was a pleasure to be part of it but a decent Cheltenham team,an off day for the Gills and that awful ref put a damper on the proceedings. Weve got to do the business saturday as my nerves will be in tatters if it goes down to the Burton game.
Martin on the pitch for 90 mins would have made a big difference in my opinion. The ref, better not open that can of worms! Oh well seal it at home!
