Well, that was a strange game.

One we dominated for sure, but either team could have won it with half chances.

I'll start by saying that it was a vast improvement from the utter dross on Boxing Day but we're still miles off our potential.

    Positives

-Jeffrey Schlupp could be a short term answer to our winger crisis.

-Yuki Abe played a fine game in the middle of the park, often covering up Wellens' and King's mistakes.

-Beckford looked dangerous when he came on. He's not going to win headers but he will give you pace. Made the keeper work and he should have earned a penalty. I think his place for us should be as an impact substitution.

-St Ledger has been told to **** off. Shows that Nigel is not here to allow big headed players.

    Negatives

-Nugent looked tired, second half he was anonymous.

-Another no show from King and Wellens.

-Danns looked poor in the middle of the park.

    -Should have had a penalty.

-Mills and Bamba looked very wobbly.

    -Kasper flapped at two crosses.

Overall I feel there was progress there but we're still way way off where we need to be.

Disappointing that we havn't won when you look at the fixture list they were all winable but thats football.

Keep the faith in Pearson, he'll deliver.

After what Nigel did for us in the past the least we can do is back him. I trust him to sort this mess out and i have no worries, there will be a few casualties along the way but over all he will get us a team we can be proud of again. Because at the minute we are terrible disjointed and a complete shambles. Get rid of all the big headed bastards and it doesnt matter who they are. Weather its someone from the background like Michael Johnson, John Pantsil or people in the team like Jermaine Beckford, Sean St. Ledger. Anyone

You have some wierd obsession with Beckford. It's like you want to see him fail.

He played well when he came on but people shout at him for not running 5 yards for a 50/50 then forget about when he ran 40 uards to create a chance.

We're not giving him a chance, he's said he's found it tough adjusting but he's finding his feet now. I think the most important thing is that he's being backed by the squad and Nige.

No i dont want to see him fail but his effort angers me

Take today for example he came on for 20 minutes and he still didnt run, he should of been running his heart out for them 20 minutes trying to get back in the team for the next match

I have never liked his attitude when he was at Leeds and dont like it now. He is on very good money and he cant give a **** either way. I have nothing against him because he isnt scoring goals it his effort isnt good enough, he doesnt work for the team, he doesnt care and i think he is playing a big part in the off the field mess

I think he will leave during the window. I would rather we got someone crap who is going to give their all rather then someone like Beckford who dont give a ****

As a fan all i ask for is every player gives their all, if all player give everything and lose or play badly i wont boo them or mind too much that we lost. The 3 things that every fan demands is effort, commitment and passion

Then we'll agree to disagree then.

I personally thought he looked sharp today, he profits from other people's work and that's always been his game.

I think with Nuge and Jeff working on the wings he'll be very dangerous and as a three they'll be good for each other.

It's been mentioned before but I really do feel that a lack of a reserve team is a big disadvantage. Players would get more proper games and NP could analyse players like Becks more, still I'd play him against Palace.

I just dont think he works hard enough. If you realise over the years the fans favourites like Paul Dickov, Iain Hume, David Nugent, Matt Elliot, Steve Walsh, Gerry Taggart, Muzzy Izzet, Robbie Savage

They are all people who gave everything they had everytime they went on the pitch

On Jeff he worked hard today and challenge for headers and put himself about. With hardwork he can become a very good player, when i seen his started i was a little worried he would play out of his skin and with it being on SKY a big club will come in for him

Who remembers back in league 1 Yeovil away where Mark Davies was quality and off the back of that loads of prem team went in for him

We were not good. It was turgid, lazy and gutless today. The long balls to absolutely nowhere are stupid, we get cramped up around the ball trying to play 1-touch stuff without any end product and consistently gave the ball away. Our midfield has this incredible vanishing tick for the middle half of the match too. And I swear the grass at the KP is made of flubber...

    Plus side... Schlupp

I dont know why we dont have a reserve team. It would also help the academy lads coming through. Since we scrapped the reserve team we have had less and less players coming through. A few years back we had Conrad Logan, Levi Porter, Chris O'Grady, James Wesolowski, Joe Mattock, Alan Sheehan and Richard Stearman all coming through at roughly the same time

Since them there wasnt been many. Could not having a reserve team be part of the reason

I'm not asking for a fan favourite. I know he isn't that type of player.

Yakubu wasn't a fan favourite but he managed to get the goals that nearly saw us with a play off spot last season.

    I remember that game.

Mattock scored his first league goal, the ****.

What i'd do to have Davies back in the side though. He's twice the player that Wellens is.

Im just saying we have had players like Beckford in the past with DJ Campbell being the most recent and it hasnt worked for them here. I cant see it working for Beckford either. Yes Yak was lazy but he scored goals, the only was a striker can afford to be lazy is if he banging in the goals

Mark Davies was quality but left here under a cloud after refusing the play. I think people are being very harsh on Wellens, yes hes out of form but he is still one of our best players. He just need a rest

Yuki Abe was, I feel, Leicester's best player today. Wellens and King were well below par again today.

I too thought Beckford did well when he came on ans both Nugent and Schlupp had good 1st halves.

I think Nigel will want in January:

    1 x centre midfielder
    1 x winger
    1 x centre forward

Yuki did very well today but he gets too easily bullied too often he needs to roughen up a little

We need alot more then 3 players

We need cover at both full back with Ball, Berner and Pantsil going
Cover at centre half with SSL off
2 Centre mids as King, Wellens and Danns arent performing and Gelson Fernandes and Michael Johnson will leave
    2 Wingers
1 striker and maybe 2 if Beckford leaves

I think we need at least 7 new players maybe more if Nigel gets rid of others

Stringer think there will be interest in these player over the window and most will leave.

Schmeichel, Pantsil, St Ledger, Berner, Ball, Fernandes, Moreno, Moussa, Oakley,Johnson,Dyer,Vassell, Schlupp, Beckford

Out of them the only ones i desperately want to keep is Kasper and Schlupp. I cant see Nigel getting rid of Dyer but then again i didnt think he would get rid of Bruno. Also no one is going to sign Vassell as he is injured so unless we cancel his contract he is going nowhere

Interesting that @stringersport reporting Kasper, Pantsil, SSL, Berner, Ball, Fernandes, Moreno, Moussa, Oakley, Johnson, Dyer, Vassell, Schlupp and Beckford are all targets for other clubs. Berner, Ball, Fernandes have gone or are going, Vassell is injured so unless we release him wont be going anywhere but if the rest go then I'd have thought we would need to replace most of them. Personaly I don't want Kasper, Pantsil, Schlupp or Beckford to go but the rest I'm not fussed about and really Wellens can join them unless he bucks up.

A lot of these are of cause are old rumours but I'd imagine come Feb our squad will have been trimmed.

Why do you want to keep Pantsil

He has been crap when he has played and looks like he is one of the ones causing trouble at the club. Him and SSL have been making comments all season about not playing. There arent playing because other players have been better then them.

I dont know what SSL was thinking when he signed. Sol Bamba has been quality all season and you dont pay around 5M for a centre half, make him your captain and then put him on the bench. Matt Mills has done well after a rocky start but with the price tag on his head people was always going to get on his back unless he performing miracles.

well anybody who does come in, could not possibly do any worse than most of the clowns on the pitch at the min, with the exception of, kasper, peltier, konchesky, abe, and maybe nugent, you could change any or even better, all of the rest. if nothing else it might lift the drab boring atmosphere that hangs around the stadium nowadays.

all we as fans want to see is some bloody effort ffs, and we have seen precious little of that lately, and the woeful skill levels of our assembled individuals leaves me and those around me, annoyed, angry and frustrated, i use that phrase, cos they are def not a team ...................

Looks like I posted the same thing and you just pipped me Proud! Anyway I didn't mean to say keep Pantsil, I guess I got distracted as I agree he's not done a thing! We need hungry players, not divas, but please FFS, drop Wellens, try it!
