Okay folks, it is has been a couple of games since DG left and now we have to batten the hatches, dig in and play on until the fat lady sings down on our campaign. So out of the four options we have which would you rather play the main part up front?

    Itay Shecter?
    Luke Moore?
    Michu?

And as for getting a fourth person in there, would you rather a:

Loan signing to be made while the window is still open?
Youth Product to promoted for the duty when needed?

I say give one of our youngster a shot to step in if needed, just look at what Ben and Jazz managed. They actually look alright.

Preferably a loanee because (1) Michu is best behind a front man and (2) Neither Schechter nor Moore do it for me.

I don't know enough about Lamah. Can he play up top?

If no loanee then Moore seems to link up better with Michu than Schechter who is having a poor season with us imo. Can't hold the ball up and doesn't shoot at goal enough. Norway has always said Moore is technically gifted and he's right, but as someone else has said he seems to lack application for some reason wherever he's been.

I suspect that Laudrup is lining up a target for the Summer but until then it looks like goals are going to be hard to come by. Cue another 5-0 win Saturday <laugh>

The loan window is closed for all premier league clubs. The only option is for a freebie and that is it. Moore will get the nod I think, seems to be the best out if what we have.

I'd put Lamah up front, he looks handy and very lively, would be far better than Moore!..............<ok>

I like the idea of Lamah up front with Michu behind. Although we have many combinations possible and whatever we start with, come minute 60 you know we are going to be shifting shape and Michu will be moving up / dropping back / coming off depending on what the tactical evil genius decides. I think there is room for Schecter and Moore.

It would be interesting to see Moore start a game. The trouble with playing Michu deeper is that you have to sit one of Britton, Ki or JDG, and recently they have all been worth a start.

Quality and competition - what a problem to have.

    My first choice would be:

    ...................MICHU.......................

    ROUTLAGE....HERNANDEZ.........DYER

With the wingers all interchanging would be almost unmarketable.

If that is ineffective then swap to the conventional lineup:

    .......................MOORE......................

    ROUTLAGE........MICHU..........HRNANDEZ

    subs based on fitness/performance

Some of you Jacks, seem to have difficulty squaring up to the obvious! I remember the Pantstado days, when I kept on about how he couldn't hit the proverbial barn door with a banjo, and we needed rid of the load of bull, yet many of you persisted with the knackered bull when I wanted him sent to the knackers yard. seems we are here again with Moore!!

Norway and others go on about his technical ability, but that is simply not good enough, if the player doesn't have the desire, or mental strength to exercise his so called technical ability!!!....I'll put money on the fact that, Moore will do nothing up front for us between now and the end of season, anyone wishing to put money on Moore scoring, I'll take all day long!................<laugh>

It has to be Michu upfront, and I bet it will be too. So long as he stays fit we will be OK. Is there a fingers crossed smiley icon? :emoticon-0141-whew:

Totally agree. Moore is as likely to score as a hooker in a nunnery. Feckin' useless. Itay doesn't have the presence to worry defenders either. It has to be Michu or maybe try Lamah, at least he looks big enough to go toe to toe with a CB.

Nothing wrong with Pintado thought he was a good player not really suited to the one man up front. He would have done better with someone else playing along side him.

With Moore he will score, but if he's not given game time it's a little difficult wouldn't you agree ? He is the best player in that position right now, I don't rate ****eker at all and don't want Lita back, perhaps you do ?

But will Morre score? His career stats make very depressing reading for a midfielder let alone a striker. He never has and never will be a goal scorer. We need a goal scorer. Seems simple to me; Michu or bust! :p

You could have said that about Routledge in his career up until laudrup arrived on the scene, wonder if you or others have the same opinion now ? ;)
