Thought Younis K had a good game, Borini is off the mark, we drew the second half, any possitive thoughts welcome.
There was little chance we would get anything once the players got their own way, just a shame it had to be us first up, I dont think it will be that easy for them again, we will see.
M'Vila starts for sure, everyone else has to wait for the lineup to be posted. I'm just saying Borini, solely due to his work rate and his willingness to get back and defend, especially compared to the likes of Johnson and Lens, should be an automatic starter as well.
I agree Borini's workrate is good - but M'Vila is a top level player who lost his way (which is why he ended up with us) no way would anyone start before him - When everyone's fit, him, then Catts would start every game. The rest would have to prove their worth (including Borini)
I suppose a positive is that at the beginning of the season we would have expected 0 points from this.
The distant optomism of pre-season seems far off , but I am hopeful of an upward turn in our affairs soon, we are set for a very important second half of the season and as long as we have Big Sam in charge we should be OK. Three decent signings added to our thin squad would be a tremendous help, but the market could be a difficult one this time around for all the teams in similar circumstances to ourselves.
I really hope Man City & Liverpool don't return to form against us - thats what happens for us - opposition return to form - we may be bottom when our BSA return to form begins - another great escape - getting very frustrating but if this happens BSA will make sure we don't have any repeats while he's here
Extremely optimistic given this time last year we'd only been beaten 4 times for 19 points but this year we've managed 11 loses for 12 points.
The only guaranteed names to start, imo, should be. M'Vila, Defoe and Cattermole. Any 2 of the 3 centre halfs should be on the pitch at any time, but, that's only because we lack numbers in that department, it's not because of the quality.
