Nigel Pearson explains what he’s looking for in new signings for Bristol City this summer If appointed on a longer-term basis then the current manager has set out the characteristics he's looking for. https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport...s/nigel-pearson-bristol-city-signings-5344608 If we make the decision to offer NP an extended contract, I believe that if all of our first team squad player were fit we would have the basis of reasonable choice for a quality Championship team from our existing playing staff. We obviously need additions, a midfield engine (Gerry Gow style) a quality right back and a quick fire striker to cement the team, from reading the article above it's obvious NP knows the type, quality and style of player he requires and should be encouraged to get out there and sign them up, then with the summer break for time, the experience and confidence NP can instil in them, his own better coaching staff joining, the playing side should be ready for the approaching season. In the meantime SL & JL should sort out the new CEO, appoint possibly a Director of Football to work in conjunction with NP, this would lead to our re-hab dept improvements, better communication between the academy and coaching staff and the ethos, on field leadership and team spirit that NP is trying to develop would develop. The players I am suggesting have been used by LJ, DH and NP. Bentley, Vyner, Kalas, DaSilva, Massengo, Williams, Semenyo, Walsh, Weimann, Martin, O'Dowda, Wells, Palmer & Bakinson
The man seems to want the challenge, so go ahead and sign him up because more waffle is not what we need.
Andrew Rolls leaves Bristol City Andrew Rolls will leave his role as Head of Performance at Bristol City with immediate effect. https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/andrew-rolls-leaves-bristol-city/ Ashton gone, Werhun gone, Johnson gone, Holden gone, McAllister gone, now Rolls gone, the times they are a'changing.
I saw this on the OS. Seems things are starting to happen . A positive , however it’s imperative we appoint a manager/ head coach ASAP as there are loads of OOC players to deal with and new players needed to replace some of them
We may have to sell players we don't want to in order to fund replacements. A lot of the players many on here want gone, are either out of contract so won't attract a fee, or haven't played much so who will buy them in this economy? I don't think it will that big of an overhaul for next season as some hope. We need to keep hold of our most saleable assets this summer, and with Ashton gone now; hopefully, we will!
Times they are a-changing. Faces are a-changing, but on the pitch it’s very much the same (or worse) than it has been since before Stevie Cotts.
