    Morning chaps!

Ive been on the PFA website this morning and found the following players who are or will be available this summer who may be good signings for us....

Omar Daley (on a free from Bradford 30yrs old - winger).

Christian Dailly (from Charlton 37, can play across the back or midfield and may be a good prospect for his experience - still very fit according to a Charlton fan I know).

Craig Disley (hard working midfielder from Shrewsbury, 29)

John Fortune (centre back - Charlton, 30years)

Alan Gow (released by Notts County, 28 ex -rangers)

John Harley (released by Notts County - left back 31)

Nathan Hicks (lively left sided player released by Leicester 20)

Ivar Ingimarrsson (experienced centre back released by Reading 33)

Jimmy Keohane (centre mid from Bristol C. 20 - saw him play, promising)

Rob Kozluk (left back - Sheff U experienced 33)

    Scott Mcgliesh (needs no introduction)

Vincent Pericard (journeyman striker - released by Swindon 28 poss issues around temperament)

Kevin Phillips (not a cat in hells chance but we can dream :) )

Gavin Rae (released by Cardiff - tough centre mid 33)

James Scowcroft (good goalscorer from Ipswich - 35 i reckon he could do a good job for us)

Danny Senda (would we want him back?)

Calvin Zola (released by Crewe - may want to play higher, good goalscoring record)

I appreciate some of these may be out of our price range etc and I trust in Waddock to make the right decisions, just specualting for my own entertainment.

It would be good to know what others think.

What's Chris Palmer like as a player? Couple of probably highly made up rumours going about at the moment.

Disley is a good cm player who if in the right team will do well.

Palmer would do a decent job. I see that Southend have today signed Neil Harris from Millwall, he would have been perfect for us.

Why does Harrold get such garbage on here? I know we've all been guilty of it, but I don't get it. He's poor in league one but a decent striker at league 2 level. That's all that needs to be said. If signed by Rovers as is rumoured he'll probably do a job for them and grab 10-15 goals for them, as he did for us and Shrews.

Whilst he's far from the bext player to have played for us he's also far from the worst. I could name a team of worse players from down the years.

Anyway onto the list - Possibly Zola and Kozluk but the rest all seem past it and on over inflated wages - not the sort of players Waddock will go for.

Pericard would be good and I think we were linked to him before he signed for swindon if I remember rightly.

Harrold gets a rough time cause he was shocking. Can't remember who it was against but the keeper came out harrold challenged him won the ball and the keeper fell on the ground. now it an open goal so he dribbles it towards the goal........... Surely a goal ......... No the keeper stands up runs back and slide tackles him prevents a goal from around 6 yards out ! No need to say more

So just the one incident then? Scapegoat is certainly the appropriate word here.

What would you say about strikers such as Holligan, Harris, Bell, Faulconbridge, Sutton, Abbey, Broughton, Savage, etc?

The stuff he gets is totally disproportionate to what he actually contributed.

lol Jenny - if we're all being honest though, that's what Harrold is at league 2, a decent frontman who will get 10-15 a season. Nothing more nothing less.

I see your chairman is STILL bitter about 'that goal', how can he keep mentioning it?

It was one of many but from what I saw by far the worst. We have had some poor players overtime and at the start I was hopefully they would perform and it never happened.

I like to see some effort and passion put it and some that you named above showed none. I quite like broughton though as a target man

Aye, he did miss a few sitters to be fair.

Bizza - Broughton?! I'll have to agree to disagree too.

Like the debate on here though, it's what this forum is about and I respect the views of all, we have our own opinions and that's fine - would be dull if we all agreed!

    I dare not think.

In fairness to Harrold, in the play off at Shrewsbury, I thought he showed at least as much passion as the rest of the team and, relative to most of the others, had a good game; considering they were getting stuffed. But not one attempted shot at goal. I feel sorry for him really as it must be difficult to know where to play him. He isn't a target man, he's not very fast, from what I've seen he isn't that hot in the air. To be honest I can see him dropping down to non league. That might give him some confidence. Anyway wherever he goes I wish him all the best.

Have to say I didn't dislike Harrold as much as others. The guy was often played up front alone and left very isolated. Interested in the same breath a comment hammers Harrold but says Pericard who scored 2 in 34 games last season as a good signing! I see according to the Bucks Free Press we could be after Benyon. Hadnt realised he was born in Wycombe as well!

I didn't like Harrold because firstly he had poor first touch, heading ability and finishing and also because he always blamed everyone else when he made a mistake.

Also regarding Benyon, I thought he was sharp when Torquay beat us, but has had problems with injuries. Risk worth taking, seeing as we just sold another player like that?
