Ash...wanted by napoli and a few British clubs.
    Bony ...wanted by Arsenal.
    Davies...by a few clubs interested.
    Vorm...back to his home land.
    Michu ???????

All these players are under contract so if we let them go then it wont be cheap. But expect the usual speculations and some dodgy rumors that happens every season at every club. We are lucky that we don't have to sell but if a big club comes calling then i firmly believe we should never stand in their way no matter what.. exciting times ahead....

All depends what division we are in next season, we could lose up to 8 or 9 players easy following a relegation . Monk may be the most expensive mistake in Swans History and it wont even be his fault it will be the boards.

I think no matter what division we are in , we will hardly recognize the team . Daiswan will be a big loss also , he will be sorely missed.

well at least we have a good chance staying up under monk and if we go down we will go down fighting, not like under laudrup where we would definitely have gone down with no fight at all...I know who i would choose and that happens to be the same as the board including the fans trust..<ok>

You're not so sure now whether we'll stay up under Monk , so the Messiah is really just human like the rest of us then .

I don't think anyone who supported Monk becoming manager thought he was the Messiah. Personally, I though Laudrup had to go because we'd probably have been relegated with him in charge. Monk came in, so I say give him a chance. Mixed results so far, but not too bad. I think Daiswan probably think something similar. Monk's got the team playing as if their heart is in it, which wasn't the case with Laudrup. So let's see. I think we'll stay up with Monk in charge. Whether he stays in charge next season is up to the board, but if we finish the season strongly, then he should probably stay. If we get relegated, or only just avoid it, then we'll need a new manager. But too early to say at the moment.

Too many silly comments on here about people who support Monk being fan boys or thinking he's the Messiah. That's just in the imagination of the Monk-haters who can't think of anything more constructive to say.

Players looked well enough up for it against man utd Newcastle and fulham, 2 of which were must win games where the pressure was on .

Cardiff at home was always going to be a self motivating game no matter who was in charge, the first acid test for monk was palace at home and we were lucky to get a draw, granted there were mitigating circumstances, but there were massive injuries when we played utd cup Newcastle and fulham.

Agree thatifmonk does well the job is his but I thought he lost the job after palace, one more chance to get it right for me if befalls against WBA then so does the chance of the managers job.

I would like to see him remain as a coach though, and begets respect for stepping up to the task

Well.the Laudrup"fanboy" jibes have already done the rounds, but perhaps you missed them.

Who are the "Monk-haters"? I've not read any such comment. Are people not entitled to air their opinions, and concerns, without being labelled?

Do we now refer to Huw Jenkins as a "Laudrup-hater"?

"not like under Laudrup, where we would definitely have gone down with no fight at all". So,the Oracle speaks - definitively!

"at least we have a good chance staying up under Monk". What do we have here then? A not so definite Oracle, covering his ass, sorry, options?

I haven't seen any evidence of any "Monk haters".
Just some thoughtful criticism of his decisions.
Wasn't the "fanboy" comment made by Mikra, who was merely pointing out hypocrisy having been labelled a fanboy himself....and weren't some in the Laudrup camp actually the ones writing the only stuff which could even vaguelly be described as "hate"ful.
You know the sort of stuff....denying his achievements with us ever happened, spreading nasty gossip, enjoying that he was denied the Napoli games

and they are ? nobody the I can recall have slated Monk for becoming the manger , a few and myself included didn't think it was the best move the club have made but fully support him as with anyone else who was taken the mangers role ,thats not to say that all haven't a right to point out any deficiencies that the manger may have .I'll remind you of some posters comments which alluded that all our problems would be solved with a change of manger ,now thats been amended to include the word "if" we go down .

Monk Has got the job ...watch this space....Its now common knowledge at the liberty and is well supported by everyone. There is only one way he wont me manager next season whatever happens in the prem is if he don't want the job and there is no indication that he will do that....

Well, any Club that guarantees an individual the top job after just a few unexceptional weeks in post, thereby placing the future of the Club in his hands,is in all honesty asking for trouble.

Very unlikely , do you honestly believe that the clubs' immediate future will be left in Monks hands if we go down , why would the Board make a promise to someone who regardless what he did as a player for us of which I acknowledge and applaud but that is then and this is now .If it's as you say common knowledge, that the Board are that confident of his ability why not remove all speculation and make the announcement .I'm sure we'll revisit this thread in the near future to see if the cockle women are correct .

Dai, there really is no need for you arrogent, patronising responses to posters. Show some ****ing humility and respect in your posts or don't bother replying.

I do not care who goes, as long as we keep the spine of the squad, players come players go, Monk will only get the job if he keeps us up, that much is obvious to everyone except Dai!....................<ok>
