But it wouldn't dampen the hype if he was to do well at the club he was loaned to, it would be merely shifting the hype to a place where Rodgers wouldn't have to deal with it. can't say I would be too bothered about him going on loan, he is only 17 and still very raw, he needs first team games under his belt and loaning him out would do that. We should loan more of our promising players out to higher ranked clubs, we send too many to the Championship!
If he is ready he will prove it in the pre-season games. If not then a loan would be a good idea to develop him further.
at least this article in the telegraph is based on some reality. the hype around sterling we saw last year when he came on a couple of times was frightening. the kid, child if you will, is expected to be our messi and save us and its unfair on him. a loan might do him the world of good. I'm glad rodgers says he's not ready due to his size and age... lets be honest guys compared to rooney (hairy backed neanderthal) at 17 he's tiny and the dmands we put on him are vast.
