    Vuckic, Abeid, Ferguson, Sameobi, Cabeye, Gosling, Ben Arfa (hopefully!!) Tiote, Colo.....

    They're all reasons to feel positive about this season I think :)

    All conjecture but:

    1. Demba Ba could keep up his West Ham form and score around 15-20 goals and be over his past injuries.

    2. The replacement for Enrique whether its Pieters or someone else could be as good as Jose, or at least better in certain areas.

    3. Ben Arfa's latest injury could be his last and he plays almost every game and is as good as we all hope he will be.

    4. Barton patches up his dispute with the board and stays for at least the rest of the season.

    5. We bring in another good striker

    6. This could be the season we see the best of Saylor, whilst he carries on notching in the goals.

    7. Simpson MIGHT learn how to close players down after the tongue lashing I give him on twitter.

    8. Medhi Abeid looks very promising.

    9. Vuckic might finally get a first team shot.

    10. Tim Krul has looked class in pre-season.

    11. Coloccini has looked class in pre-season.

    12. Cabaye has looked class in pre-season, and is one handsome bastard.

    the youth academy best in all the years i've supported the toon
    faster technically better midfield than last year

    Cabaye's better than Nolan, Ba is as good as Carroll, we have time to replace Enrique, we have time to get another striker, Saylor will start over Williamson this year, Colo is captain <diva>, squad is bigger with Marveaux/Abeid, Fergie and Vuckic coming through and Xisco off the wage bill.

    Cabaye is a better crosser/free kick taker than Barton which means picking out S Taylor more, which means more goals
    Obertan may not run the ball off the pitch and pick out somebody with a pass that doesn't go to the opposition
