After seeing us so close to winning the premier league and champions league, I was originally a bit disappointed about not winning a trophy but after looking back on the season, I've noticed quite a lot of positives. & I'm feeling quite good about next season.

    1. We finished 3rd and got to the C.L Semi Final. Basically we were very close to winning both. Showing that we are a big club and will put up a big challenge to win the biggest trophies.

    2. We were brilliant in the P.L against the big clubs this season. Incredible record. Especially beating Man City & Liverpool twice.
Got a 0-0 draw at Man Utd & Arsenal. And then beat both Man Utd & Arsenal at home....also Spurs and Everton. We owned the big clubs this year.

    3. We won the Youth cup beating Fulham. ( Fulham have a great youth team )
We won the U21 Premier League Title beating Man Utd to win it. ( Man Utd have a great youth team )
It was great to win both of these trophy's and in the way we did it. Our youth team and our young players out on loan are looking really good!

    4. We will improve the squad, expect us to sign 2-3 big players in the summer and have a better squad next season.

    5. A season goes by very quickly and you can't win every year...it's literally impossible to win a trophy every year.

    6. Mourinho has said 2-3 times that he is not happy with finishing 3rd and he expects us to win the league next season.

    7. With Mourinho saying this and with the summer signings......I'm feeling very confident that we will something big next season!

    8. Liverpool not winning league. I know it's stupid small club mentality thing to say but I just can't stand Liverpool. Seeing them so close to winning the league but us beating them 2-0 at Anfield combined with Gerrard's slip, Being 3-0 and drawing 3-3 to Crystal Palace and Luis Suarez crying. It really was hilarious. I honestly don't mind City winning the league, they're a decent club. Hopefully Hull beat Arsenal but even if they don't, I still don't mind Arsenal, they're a decent club as well. Just not Liverpool. They are awful. Gerrard <laugh>

    9. We already have a brilliant squad. Just need to sign Diego Costa and bring Lukaku back from the loan. Simple!

    10. We have the best manager in the world. He's not perfect but damn he is good. He is a winner. Jose Mourinho <ok>

It's a shame not win a trophy this year but I'm certain we will next season.

Agree with a lot of these.
We need to work on our attacking movement and play, more dynamic play is needed up front to unlock stubborn defences.
    Defensively we improved ten fold.

I never really expected us to win the league, but as the season draws near and you are up there, it starts to creep in your mind. So you do feel disappointment when you dont win, but it was close, and we are were taken to the end by two good teams.

Also I must add a no. 11 to your list Joey.....

I'm with you Joey, at the start we all thought as Jose said, this is a team in transition. We have seemingly changed from short term to longer term planning so we don't have to rebuild every second year, but add one or two players and build on solid foundations. I think we have shown that's whats happening, though there might be more ins and outs this off season than we'd hoped.
Our best 11 really is only 2 players from being ultra competitive, but we need to add 4 or 5 new players to bolster some positions, and play them a bit to gradually get everyone able to seamlessly sub for tactical reasons or to rest players more often.
Excellent season, and probably finished about where we deserved in PL and CL.
