Seems to be a very positive vibe around the boards after our first 3 pre-season games, Far better than the doom and gloom on Footymad.

I think maybe the Liverpool result has raised peoples expectations a bit too much though, going to be a very very competitive league this year maybe the tightest ever, Good that people are confident in our squad, im just hoping we dont get many injurys to key areas, But do fancy us to be the Play off dark horses, based on us having a pretty solid defence.

Just hope people dont start slating NP if we aint in the top 4 by Christmas, i still think this season is about building a solid foundation ie squad rise after the Massive changes weve been through.

Be interesting to see when the doom merchants start re-appearing though but me for one am very glad there silent at the moment.

Any team info for tonight? Wouldnt mind Seeing Sonny Bradley get a chance to porve he can be adequate backup.

Forget pre-season games. I can tell you a season when City wont 7 games incl. 2 against First Division sides(old money) PL now and got relegated. They are fitness only.

But what the Liverpool game did show me was the spirit and belief in the squad. So much desire and energy which can only get better. Even Tom Cairney was up for a tackle or 2. TC knows he has to improve and has made a good start.

I really do think City will surprise a few this season and Once the Bullard saga has been removed NP can get in more players. Looking about there are many quality players still un-signed. Plus when the PL clubs put in there 25 man squads that will also free up many more for Loans etc.

The key for City is the opening set of fixtures. Nothing is a given but could City have asked for anything better than what we have ? Blackpool Palace and Reading @ Home with Ipswich & Leeds away in August. I can see 4 wins in Aug.
