What do you guys make of this?

Not sure how to take it. It seems like the sensible thing to say I suppose, I really couldn't blame him if Arsenal or Manure came in for him.

After the Carroll saga I'm very worried about us turning into a feeder club. Tiote, Jose, Ben Arfa, Coloccini and Barton are all profitable assets in FCB's eyes and it would be agonising to see our squad dismantled and sold. Even if a single one of these players left it would be very difficult to find a replacement. Anyone agree?...

    Or am I being paranoid?....:emoticon-0101-sadsm

I don't see it as a major issue.

He wants to play top tier football next season and hopes that it's still with Newcastle.

    Stay up and he signs.

    Drop down and he'll move.

3 points tonight will help :)

Done his time in the Fizzy pop league and just wants to be sure he is in the PL nexy season, the proof will be when we do secure a spot in the PL how quickly will he sign then?

Suppose he just want assurances, but should have kept it in house rather than making it public.

    He's just being sensible.
He's aiming to push for an international place, so playing Championship football next season will not do him any favours.
Jose needs to be noticed, and he'll only get noticed in the top tiers.

As overseas said, if we secure safety from relegation, he'll look to signing a new contract with us. But if we drop *fingers crossed we don't like* then he'll want to move.
I'm pretty confident he's happy with being at Newcastle, and I'm confident he'll want to stay if we stay up.
