So working on the basis you stay up what/who do you need to bring in so that you aren't simply relegated next year?

I think your GK is very good and defence is strong. Midfield has some potential but gaps and up front is a major problem.

I'd say for the first team you need a left-back, a couple of midfielders and a couple of strikers. Beyond that you just need some squad depth across the board really. Given the happy usage of the loan system I can see you hunting down 2 or 3 first teamers and then a handful of players for cover and progression with some loan players then filling the gaps.

Agree/Disagree? Plus are you happy with that sort of progression and reliance on loans? Previously I was never keen on loans but Remy has made our season really.

What I really don't get is that a mag is telling us what he thinks of our team - no offence Haslam as you've always (in my short term memory) been an OK poster but we really don't need you coming on here saying "from where I can see"...

We all know our frailties in the side and all have our own opinions. We don't really need you telling us yours as, TBH, they're not really relevant as you certainly won't have our best interests at heart (whether I agree or disagree with you!)

Part of the reason I stopped reading after the first sentence. It's a premature conversation from a non supporter.

Fair enough, no offence meant but appreciate that this may be a touch premature. I guess if the roles were reversed I wouldn't be keen to get involved. The jist was just wondering what the short and long term aim of Short transfers were but its hardly the pressing issue at the moment (for the record I wasn't poking fun or making out like you had tons of issues, I could happily do the same for Newcastle but I think everyone knows that our transfer policy is for Ashley to just make as much money as possible - and its quite depressing as a fan - at least Short gives the impression of someone who wants to succeed).

Oh well, I'm confident you will stay up so good luck for rest of the season guys.
