http://www.theposh.com/news/article/20130218-posh-prepared-for-battle-663943.aspx PUBLISHED 18th February 2013 by Phil Adlam Posh boss Darren Ferguson knows his team will need to match Millwall physically at the New Den on Tuesday night. Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson says he expects a âtough gameâ against Millwall Tuesday night as his side targets Championship survival. Posh have been on a good run of form recently after picking up five points from a possible nine which included a crucial 2-1 victory over promotion-chasing Leicester City last time out. Ferguson believes his side will be heading to the New Den full of confidence following recent results, but also feels they must match Millwall physically if they are to achieve a positive result. He said: âEverybody knows Millwall away is a tough game; we managed to get a 2-2 draw there last season after being 2-0 down. We are going to have to match them physically, that is a big part which we have spoken about. Itâs going to be a tough game but we feel we know where we can hurt them and what we need to do in terms of stopping them. âOne thing that stands out from all the games we have played against Millwall is we need to match them physically. They are a powerful team and well organised and that is something we are going to have to deal with. We need to make sure we look after that before we think about anything else. âWe go into the game with a lot more confidence after beating Leicester who were second in the League. That has definitely also given us more belief.â Bristol City were beaten at Cardiff City at the weekend, while Wolverhampton Wanderers picked up a point on the road at Derby County. Ferguson believes a number of teams are still in the relegation dogfight. âWhat you have seen with the league, all the way up to Millwall I donât think anyone is safe. âIt looks like the target will be more than 50 points this season â I donât think anyone is safe. There will be a lot of looking over shoulders there is no question about that. I said last week we are used to always going after something at the end of the season and I think this suits us so Iâm looking forward to the run in. âThere is always inconsistent results and performances throughout this league â thatâs the way it always is. Hopefully we have got over our worst run which was right at the start. Now we have picked up a bit of momentum, but we have got a lot of catch up work to do - itâs all well in saying we have got games in hand.â
Good luck Minxy. Would love to see you pick up 3 points and get the binners even more worried when they lose
