Despite the embarrassing pre match bluster from professional cockney Barry Fry, I didn't think Posh were much of an advert for the championship. Or was it that any threat they had was completely nullified by another ruthlessly professional performance from the lads. I still can't quite get used to the transformation, after years of failing to turn over sides like Brighton and Notts County, we suddenly look organised, efficient and stone me, like a professional football team.................................Who'da thought it.
Aye. We certainly did our jobs today. Never looked like losing the game. When Bruce played 4 6 0 formation I was baffled and could not understand it. I could not believe it when MON did the same thing. However this time it worked. I said on another post that the proof would be in the pudding and it was (so to speak)
As games go these days, that was a piece of piss. We were never in trouble, controlled the game from start to finish. Barry fat man Fry can cry all he likes...The truth is we won at a canter.
Fair play the best team won by a country mile. It was certainly a footballing lesson for us and probably our worst performance of the season, it certainly showed up those players who aren't even good enough for The Championship. As for FRY we ignore the loud mouth, fat twat, club robbing parasite. Good luck in the next round
I like the POSH.. punching above their weight, scoring goals for fun in the Championship. Pity about Barry Fry mind he's a right irritating knob.
I think the punditry was balanced in ythe studio - I mean for the Man City v Man Utd game they had Peter Reid (City) & Roy Kean (Utd) and for us they had Barry Fry (Posh) and.... Errrr..... Gordon Strachan... What the **** does he have to do with the match? - ITV scraping the bottom of the barrel methinks?? Obviously Gordon Strachan was "linked" (I use this term loosely!!) with our managers job so they had him in the studio for Sunderland!! And Barry Fry was completely unbiassed
Good to see that Posh fans find Barry Fry as irritating as the rest of us do. He really is a total knob.
