Who are Ya? (some of this information is courtesy of wikipedia)
Leicester joined the Football League in 1894, in the Second Division. They were promoted in 1908 but finished well adrift at the bottom of the First Division the following year. They have spent their entire league existence in the top two divisions bar one season; 2008-09, when they finished seven points clear at the top of League One.
Leicester are one of a number of teams who have moved to a new stadium in the past twenty years or so; moving from Filbert Street to the Walkers Bowl (now the King Power Stadium) in 2002.
They won the League Cup in 1964 and the Charity Shield in 1971, beating Liverpool 1-0 at Filbert Street (it wasn’t FA Cup winners v League Champions then. Arsenal had done the double, Liverpool had finished 5th in the First Division and Leicester as Second Division Champons).
Major silverwae would follow in 1997 and 2000, when they won the League Cup again.
Highest League Finish: 2nd in First Division [Premier League] 1929
Lowest League Finish: 1st in League One 2009 (although they finished bottom of the Football League in 1904, when there were only two divisions).
    Honours:
1st Tier [Premier League] Runners Up 1929
    2nd Tier [Championship] Champions 1925, 1937, 1954, 1957, 1971, 1980. Runners Up 1908, 2003. Playoff Winners 1994, 1996.
3rd Tier [League One] Champions 2009
    FA Cup Runners Up 1949, 1961, 1963, 1969
    League Cup Winners 1964, 1997, 2000. Runners Up 1965, 1999
    Charity Shield Winners 1971

    Yesteryear
21 March 1925 Second Division [Championship]
    Pompey 1-1 Leicester
This was Leicester’s first ever league trip to Fratton Park; in Pompey’s first season in the 2nd Tier.

    Leicester City League finish:
5 years ago (2006-07): 19th in the Championship
10 years ago (2001-02): 20th in the Premier League (Relegated)
15 years ago (1996-97): 9th in the Premier League
20 years ago (1991-92): 4th in Second Division [Championship] (Playoff Runners Up)
25 years ago (1986-87): 20th in First Division [Premier League] (Relegated)

    Random Fact:
Having been FA Cup Runners Up on four occasions, they hold the record for the most appearances in the final without lifting the famous trophy.

Current odds (Thursday Lunchtime) from SkyBet

    Pompey: 9/5
    Leicester: 7/5
    Draw: 12/5

Isn't it usual for former players to score against their old clubs? I bet David Nugent is eager to bag one against us.

So they come away to Fratton on the back of a 3-0 home win with a new manager in tow.....sounds familiar.

I bet they make a better job of it than a certain bunch of numpties up at Vicerage Road last week <doh>

Had a dream last night that we had a bit of a Stockport moment vs Leicester. 1 nil down after a few minutes, and in a bizzare deja vu backs to the wall moment the famous pompey wall of sound returns. 15mins straight of Drink a drink getting louder and louder until Varney lashes it home. Chimes echo around the old girl and Varney tucks it away again, prompting mass delerium in the stands.
