Anyone else see tonights lineup? Darlow, Bigirimana, Satka, Ferguson, Aarons, Abeid, Wijnaldum, Gouffran, Sissoko, Ayoze, Cisse #nufc

Steve taking the one defender approach. Very strong and exciting attacking lineup tho bar gouffran. Im assuming three at the back with bigi, lubo, and fergy? God only knows.

I watched the first half. We were relatively ****ty. The defense was very very poor. First goal lubo slipped. 2 on set pieces. Then I went to bed. Aarons is a player though. Holy cow he was miles better than anyone on the field. He was playing lb unfortunately

Ferguson at CB. FFS no wonder we got mullered. Aarons and Bigi as full backs , I know you have to try things out but we should be playing defenders not attackers and yet again undone by 2 set plays. Here's hoping we show much improvement against sheff Un.

Bigi actually did really really well at rb. He linked up with wiji very well at points. Would have preferred him to abeid at the cdm role. Abeid unleashed his inner tiote losing the ball right in front of the back 4 a few times.

Also, screw signing a winger. We need to pay Aarons. The kids probably on 2k a week.

Hopefully we won't get the usual overreaction from our silly fans we have had in the past. Sensible from McClaren to not allow injuries to occur and just putting a makeshift team out. Yes he has learnt nothing, but at least we aren't heading back with half our first carrying niggles or worse.

He obviously thinks the whole trip was a a waste of time bar the fan aspect.

We shouldn't have lost but I basically read nothing into that. McClaren messing around. Keeping players on their toes, assessing their attitude as much as anything and just trying to get fitness up and avoid injuries. You never know, he might even be smart enough to play Fergy at CB in order to prove a bit of a point :emoticon-0105-wink:

The lumber jack certainly earned his keep for that game.
