It looks like Port Vale may go into administration and be deducted ten points. It could play a big part in who lands that last play-off spot. If we're honest the only reason that we've managed to hang on to seventh spot, despite some indifferent results, is down to the fact that no one from the chasing pack has gone on a run. If Vale do get deducted ten points then it looks like our greatest threat comes from Gillingham, Crewe and Rotherham. That is supposing no one from Morcambe downwards really hits form, including a miracle run from Vale. The race for the play-offs could go right to the last game of the season for us and that is at Port Vale.
