Hello and welcome to the all new and improved Match day Hub which is now the official place for Gillingham fans, I decided to update this so that you will know where to go and chat before and during the game. This is here to replace the match day thread and the Starting Line up Prediction, this is where you will now be able to post all your team predictions and score updates. You can now just spend your match day in one place if you are not at the game. This is the thread for the upcoming game, I always post this thread before each game so that you can express your views on the corresponding fixture and can talk between each other during the game, You can post your team predictions before the game, you may include the starting 11 plus the subs which you think will be in the team, no points awarded for your predictions it is just for fun, it allows you to start a healthy debate between each other about the team which we will play or what it should be. If you wish you can post updates freely about the game and chat between yourselves, you are also free to talk about other games bizarre or not. This is open to both Gillingham fans and also the opposition After the match I will allow you all to create a summary on this thread and I will also provide extra details on the game if they are required or if I want to point anything out. You can talk about what was good about the game and what could have been better. During the game I will update the score and the team sheets as soon as they are available, also at the end I will add the table to this thread as it stands. This is here permanently so you will not see the Match day thread or the starting line up prediction threads as this is them combined.
Ok, for a change I will start the team choice, although tactically I completely inept so be gentle with me... 442 Gazza Evans Richards Essam/King Martin Whelpdale/C-Lee O-Lee Jackman Tomlin Kedwell Kuffour Joe Carter is injured so is not an option at LB (who? lol) Spiller said on twitter yesterday he might not be back until Rotherham. I do not know if Jack Payne is injured? Framps is out for about 4/6 weeks. Unsure about King & C-Lee's situation.
I got for something very similar Gazza Evans Richards Essam King Whelpdale O.Lee Jackman Tomlin Kedwell Kuffour Bench Hawkes Davies Payne (If injured then Weston or Charlie Lee if he is not out) Rance Miller I would be happy with this team as I would like to see no Lawrence and really no Martin as he has made many mistakes, but also no Montrose. Also on current form Weston needs to be dropped again so Oliver Lee in for him and Whelpdale for Montrose, I think we will see Martin in the team as King will probably not make the team.
Hope you will get back to winning ways today and that Keds finds his scoring touch again. I will be keeping my fingers crossed while cooking the burgers @ Wimbledon. Regards Bernie

well done hess for actually...if a little to late...has gone and changed our whole backline i.e. evans, essam, king, jackman, lets hope it's a sign of things to come...good things to come! though i would of liked to of seen jackman stay in midfield other than weston..oh well you can't have it all...good luck gills! well well Hessy has changed the whole back 4, I dearly hope it works out but a big gamble. I think this could be a big scoring game. Good luck.
I did not consider putting Jackman at LB, although thought we might have seen O-Lee instead of Weston. I assume we are 443? Would have preferred 442 with Tomlin on the left but otherwise ok with the selection.
