Can't say I'm surprised by the result! Match write-up here... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18939995 Now, I know it was only a low-key friendly, but I wasn't very happy to read this: "Laudrup took a back seat, and left the stadium after the commanding first half as assistants Alan Curtis and Kris O'Leary gave the instructions from the dugout." Come on Michael, it was your first game in charge! Show a little respect...
He watched from the back of the newer stand, took it all in and didn't leave until we were 5-0 up when all the younger players were on, am sure he will have assessed our fringe players as well as observed some of our youngsters who showed promise.
First half the team included Gower, Agustien, Dobbie, Orlandi, Lita and Moore, Dobbie was given an extra ten minutes in the second half before being subbed. Thought Kemy and Orlandi impressed the most, the other senior players could be the ones that Laudrup will be looking to ship out.
Swansea City: David Cornell, Curtis Obeng, Scott Tancock, Darnel Situ, Daniel Alfei, Kemy Agustien, Mark Gower, Andrea Orlandi, Stephen Dobbie, Leroy Lita, Luke Moore. Subs: Oliver Davies, Ben Davies, Jazz Richards, Lee Lucas, Henry Jones, James Loveridge, Rory Donnelly, Gwion Edwards. very much a reserve side wasn't it
Went to the game and the Swans were pretty impressive. Thought Situ was decent too. But yes, very much a B team.
Why didn't Situ go to USA? I would have thought he'd be one we want to develop this season as a definite backup for injuries or we're relying on Monk and Tate again. Must be heading out on loan I guess. http://www.swanseacity.net/news/article/usa-tour-squad-256002.aspx
