Just looked at the figure of sales so far,11000 "update over 12000 now" is poor for what could be a good chance of progression into the 1/4 finals. Win this and the possibility of a big draw home or away is on the cards. Very surprised at sales so far at £12.00 a pop.
They will in the next round if we get a big un next game. you watch em trying to get a ticket for likes Liverpool or Spurs,Chelsea,Man City or Man UTD.Arsenal.
The parking situation at AG is ridiculous. I can, just about, put up with it for the Championship. So can't be bothered I'm afraid, I'd rather watch paint dry.
Not surprised, Hull aren't exactly a big draw, but for £12 should be taking a lot more, don't know many many Hull are bringing down but I'll be going tomorrow.
One of our fans has summed it up very well- If this game was the usual £30-40 you'd have a point. Everyone has their own individual circumstances to think about of course, but in broad terms, affordability cannot be used as an excuse for a game costing £12. You can't go to Bristol Zoo for £12. That's exceptionally good value and I'd expect more than 11,000 people to want to watch a game of football for that price in a city the size of Bristol. Frankly I think 11,000 is a pathetic figure. I understand that the league is the priority, but it feels to me like the balance of priority between league and cup games has now swung far too far towards the league. The cups are capable of great drama, extra time, penalties, and the excitement of waiting to see who you get in the next round if you win. They give us a realistic opportunity of coming up against the likes of United, Arsenal and Chelsea - games we can only dream about at the moment. Probably our greatest victory in the last 30 years came in the cup. The prize on Tuesday is a place in the last 8, and most likely a big-name, perhaps in our newly redeveloped stadium. And if we don't get the big name tie, it's an even better chance of making the semis! It's an exciting prize on offer for one game of football. When was the last time we reached this stage of a major cup? I just cannot get my head around the lack of enthusiasm - especially at £12 each.
It's always been a poorly supported competition unless you can get to the Quarter Finals or beyond. Having said that I think we're capable of turning Hull over given their recent form and if that should happen and we do draw a really big team then it could fill The Gate I don't imagine Hull will bring that many. Bristol is a long way to go to and get back from midweek.
No problem parking, the issue is getting through the traffic to get there. boy night games stress me out, even before a ball is kicked.
The attendance for the 4th round home tie in the 1988/89 season when we got to the semi's was 11110 so we are beating that
just cant afford it, came down sat as my brother in laws "mate for a tenner", but after train fares a few beers etc the spend was still the exiting side of £100, and i really dont need a divorce.
We would have to come from Devon, take an hour off work early and if the game went extra time and pens, probably wouldn't get home round 12.30-1 am. League game is fine on a Saturday and we try to get the midweek games too, so far so good this season. Wife working anyway, so attraction tomorrow is confined to the radio.
For me to go cost of travelling to get over the bridge and parking is a hassle. Plus I've either got to leave work early plus the wife has to so we don't get time for food and then pay for that on top of paying £36 for the three of us to go is just too much. For league games the tickets already paid for via season ticket so can live with that. Plus I've got to be up at 4:30 tomorrow so will probably be asleep anyway.
