hopefully this defeat gets the lads minds totally on the premier league after tonights poor performance. After 65minutes we hadn't even had a shot and its been quite clear that the FA Cup replay is on the minds of the players.

Games likes these are games we should be if not winning atleast taking a point so we still have some work to do to get to were we all want to be but since MoN came in bar tonight and WBA it has been fantastic so I aint going to complain to much.

Definitely need to get back in the points on Saturday. 4points from last 5premier league games needs improving.

    Ha'Way the Lads!!!!

I honestly think we were worse tonight than we were against West Brom! Campbell was terrible - When they got their second goalwe'd had 70% possession over the 10 minutes previous and they went and scored - Ji has miss of the season!! Couldn't get much worse really although had that gone in I think we'd have won as their heads would've gone down (IMO)

Players should not be at this club who think like that, that was our last chance of getting our 5th away win, and i can see what is going to happen now, and looks like disaster hitting us, especially with them up the road going to finish 6th. We have been poor in the second half for the last 4 games now, and ALL key players should be rested now on sat, Sess, Mclean, Bendtner, Cambell etc, and we need 5 players in the summer 2 of which need to be quality strikers.

agree with this and it is not a knee jerk reaction after tonight

personally with Bendtner and Gyan off in the summer we need two quality strikers IMO. For me the likes of Campbell, Wickham and Ji should be the back up

we also need a winger with pace and who can get a few goals who can play both sides because at the minute Larsson needs a rest and we have nobody to play there (don't even suggest Elmo)

a creative spark in the centre of the midfield and finally a RB to offer competition to Bardsley

    sign Bridge as well

That was worse than one of Brucies team performances !! McLean tried his best, as usual, the look on Bardo's face said it all at one point. Bentdner held the ball up well at times but thats about all. Very very very disappointing indeed. We have had a good run under MON, but the lads looked shot tonight, no energy, no urgency, no skill !!

    Awful

Its clear that a lot of them need to be rested...and dropped. I think Colback may have been rested, because for me Vaughan and Gardner don't work as a partnership.

Larsson 100% needs a rest, he looks jaded and has offered nothing over the last 3-4 games. We may have to do something with McClean, possibly stick him on the right...or swap him over during games because defenders have him sussed.

I also thought Campbell today was shocking, for me he is more of an impact player. When Sess is back it should be Bendnter/Sess upfront...and I think it will be.

Hopefully at home, against QPR we can bang a couple of goals in because atm we look inept up front.

Agree, Bardsley and McClean can hold their heads up as they put a shift in. Bendtner was alright at holding the ball up but didn't seem to be interested in getting into the box, we definately need a striker that can hold the ball up and bust a gut to get in the box as imo both Bendtner and Ji should of scored tonight. We probably need about 4 new signings in the summer 5 if Sess goes so it looks like another busy summer! I don't want to go on to much as it seemed to be just one of those games with alot of hoof ball from Blackburn but the passing was awfull for long periods(from both sides). It will also prove to MON that having 5 key players out leaves us very vunerable, we could probably cope with having 2 or 3 at a push.

Agree, but although defenders are doubling up on McClean he is getting the crosses in and he's doing it without having to beat his man so that will always be a threat. We just need someone who is willing to get on the end of them (easier said than done I know).
