Very quiet today even when they had a numerical advantage and were attacking the North Stand end.

They brought more (and noisier fans) last time when they were on their way to promotion.

Thought we would under the cosh after Sagbo's sending off but their mute fans showed why drunken Delia had to chastise them that time.

I thought today was nerve-wracking but surprisingly easy, as they never got on top or in our faces.

Last time round, a middle of the table team would usually dominate us even with 11 players on the pitch.

I have to say our fans were superb today- much noisier than almost any game last season, and even the South Stand stood up to be counted in this regard.

A good, good day for Hull City today which brought us the first of then 10 wins we need to survive, and gave some of our younger players invaluable experience.......tasting success at home in the Premiership and learning that many teams/opponents are overrated.

Congrats on your win today guys, very disappointed in our performance today as we know we are a lot better than that but we have come accustomed to these performances from time to time which is a shame. Key players still not fit enough or out doesn't help us, but your defensive play was rewarded with 3 points which is deserved. Hope we give you a better game down at CR later on in the season.

Good luck for the rest of the season <ok>

Also, very strange about our fans today! Usually a very noisy bunch, but low key today which was odd...

Agreed, thought Norwich fans were supposed to be quite vocal but they were fairly awful today.

Just curious whether you still clean Holt's boots, or has he has to employ somebody else?

I guess it must have been an off day, don't think you can use the performance as much of an excuse, after we went down to 10 you were going to be pushing for an equaliser the rest of the game, in reverse circumstances City fans would've been far more vocal, and I don't think our supports particularly good to be honest.

Did they have any fans in the stadium? They must have been near those 3000 stewards in the North stand.

No disrespect to Norwich who have some really great fans. But I think a lot of them came to ours thinking it was going to be 3 easy points. When they saw that actually we were better than them (before the sending off ps fine Sagbo a weeks wages and give it to charity) then they realised they were in a game. They huffed and puffed second half but never came closer to scoring except for the header from the corner. They never had a lot to shout about. If I was one of these overpaid pundits I'd be thinking that N/wich are going to struggle all season..

Your basing that opinion on todays performance then you need a reality check... We had much worse performances last season and didn't win in our first 7 games but finished 11th. We know, as many others do that we are better than what we were today plus the fact that we weren't at full strength still... Leroy Fer, in his 1st game was played in an advanced role when hes a deep lying box-box midfielder, howson started on the right wing. Missing Olsson at LB and Bassong in defence plus Snodgrass is not fully fit. Wait till we have a fully fit side and then see if we will struggle!!

We only had ten men for most of the game!

To be fair on the support thing, when Norwich needed their fans most to get the team riled up, they took off their best player on the day in Redmond.

I doubt our fans would turn up in their numbers like that.

They might not have sung very loud, but ours are hardly great.

I said regularly on this very board they were one of my tips for bottom 3 and I was mocked. I think they've done what their great rivals Ipswich did in the Prem and ditch precisely what made them good for some fancy sounding foreigners.

With free coach travel like they had we might have.

They were quiet today, but Norwich have very good support and we should be better than taking a pop, particularly when we won.

He's right though. Our away following is usually poor.

    In numbers or quality?

Would we take that number to Norwich if we had free coach travel there?
