It doesn't concern me too much personally but the tickets for the first few games of the season are yet to go on sale, despite only 2 1/2 weeks to go until the season. Don't shoot me down here, but I think the club have focused on getting people through the door for the Markus Liebherr tournament this weekend and failed to advertise ticketing for some games, particularly Leeds considering it's a TV game, enough. Looking on on other club websites, they have had tickets on sale for weeks. This is not a huge pop at the club but I feel that operations like this could be running more smoothly. Thoughts?
I suspect they'll be on sale after this weekend. They have probably delayed it to drum up interest in the Memorial Cup as you've mentioned and also with the two kits being released by the end of the weekend, it should generate plenty of interest in the Leeds match by the time next week comes around. A clever tactic by the club I reckon.
Could it be that they are trying to sell as many season tickets as they can before selling matchday tickets?
That wouldn't be prudent in my opinion. People buying season tickets are going to buy them anyway and stalling the sale of single match tickets isn't going to have people rushing to buy season tickets.
