The good news for you Ponders is that Phil Parkinson is still after him.
According to the Bradford Argus and Telegraph .
Phil Parkinson vows to keep track of Paul Benson for possible new Bradford City bid in January.City are still keen on landing Paul Benson – but not until the next transfer window. The Charlton striker remains on Phil Parkinson’s list as he looks to pep up the club’s frontline.
“We’re working on a few things and speaking to one or two people. There’s money there in terms of wages for a loan player but we’ve got to get the right type
But the new boss played down hopes of bringing the player in this week on an emergency loan.
League clubs can go back into the loan market from tomorrow but Parkinson believes Benson will be off limits.
Instead, City will consider making a fresh bid for the 32-year-old in the January window.
Parkinson said: “I don’t think we’ll be revisiting Benson in terms of a loan. The time to do that may be in January.

All is not lost for you yet Ponders !

I am both cheered and disheartened by this information, Rifleman. But thank you for its supply.

I shall do all in my power to ensure that Benno leaves on loan within the next few days. I am currently in talks with Parky and Powell to drive home the benefits of such a deal. Besides, if we sign Paynter, the final nail in the coffin will be struck.
