Still early days but do you want a mod for the Pompy board, its up to you?

The moderator will be one of you and there to watch over things and nsure the board is run the way you, the Pompy fans, want it.

By far the best form of moderation is self moderation, use the no swear filter and ignore facility but above all to respect other members. The forum will grow then its usually visitors from other teams that can cause the problem, wumming and bante is part of footy but we all know the line.

By appointing a mod now you can lay down your ground rules so its up to you.

The mod needs to be open minded and sensible, its not a power trip role.

You can make your suggestions and if we have a few and they are willing to do the job you can vote for your mod.

    Over to you.

:emoticon-0100-smileMaybe you don't need a moderator. Perhaps just a spelling monitor? And an occasional visit from the grammar police!

I think we're getting along famously without a moderator (at the moment at least) We'll just have to see what happens when 606 finally closes its door for the last time and re-assess the situation if necessary.

In the meantime I'm happy to volunteer for the Grammar Police :emoticon-0126-nerd:

Guys we need somone, or two if possible, if only to quickly get rid of posts like the pornographic one that has been added to my recent thread "My lucky Meowth avatar"
    Shall we do a poll?

Hi CyprusSyd, There are a few who would be good, DevonFrattoniser, PFCsince70, BlueMoon, PlayupPompeyfanJake (new on here but very busy on 606) and myself I suppose. I think between 2 of us we could carry it.

Been thinking long and hard and it seems some do want a mod but others dont. Certainly dont need two because the board is way to small for that and TBH probably is no hurry to have a mod. That said I would like one in early, not to be heavy or change things but to be in early, get used to the role and ensure it grows how the members want it.

Imortant on this forum that each teams board is theirs and is run on their rules. The main site house rules apply but they are common sense, abuse, racisim, porn and the like. So the mod is not there to make the rules but to ensure the wishes of the majority are respected.

Now with all that in mind, who still wants to do it?

BTW, its not an English exam, I am a crap speller, always have been but long time since I was ashamed of it.

You always mention that your spellings bad. But, I'm never able to spot a spelling mistake.

Well boys this may say a lot. asked a question at 12.30 and ready to appoint mod. Now 4.00 and no reply because the board is so busy. Conclusion, no mod needed until board grows.

    Time to close this thread.
