Just can't call this one. Will there be a backlash and the players give 120% or will we cave in with a whimper? I just don't know. Unfortunately Pompey's form is looking up and ours is going south, so..........0-0.

Last visit: Rovers last trip to Portsmouth came back in 1992, with the home side taking all the points in a 4-1 victory.
Comments from this morning's press call Today we spoke to Steve Mildenhall and Danny Woodards ahead of a massive four games for Bristol Rovers. Both players were confident that Rovers could do enough to remain in the Football League next season. Here is a brief extract of what they had to say. Mildendhall: “Sometimes in these situations talk can be cheap, our actions have to be what counts. It is in our hands, and we cannot worry about other people. We know what we need to do to be safe, and we have to get on and do it. “Our support has been outstanding all year. Obviously last week people were aggrieved, and rightly so, and at times I think players probably need fans to let them know how they feel. "But we know that come Saturday afternoon there will be plenty of them there at Fratton Park, and what we need to do is make sure we do the right things to give them something to keep cheering about. “If I am not confident and no one else is confident then we shouldn’t be playing any of the games. I am positive we have enough in that room, that if we do things right and believe in each other, we will get the results that we need to.” Woodards: “We have got to stick together and do the best we can. We have a good bunch of lads here, so we have to go and do the job. It is a massive game on Saturday and we have to chuck everything at it. “We have to keep positive and keep doing what we are doing, and hopefully it will work out. “This is a massive club, especially with the new stadium coming – you don’t want to be playing in the Conference. It is massive that we stay in this league. Everyone is going to fight to be in the league next season. We have a good squad and a good backing, and if we all stick together I think we can do it.”
Manager on the final four games Darrell Clarke says he is determined to see Bristol Rovers playing in League Two next season. Rovers have ‘four cup finals’ left to secure league status, and the manager is confident we can do that if everyone pulls together. He said: “I am determined to get us over the line, and I will do. The supporters have been fantastic all season, we lost them on Saturday, and we have to get them back on side, and I am determined we are going to do that. “I believe in the players, I believe we will bounce back and whichever players put on the shirt, I will make sure they wear it with pride. “We are all in this together, and the fans will be behind us, as they know the situation we are in. “We are fighting for our lives and we have got to be up for that fight. “We need our strong players to stay strong, and we need the ones who haven’t been so strong to come up to the plate and make sure they are focussed on what needs to be done.” It will be a massive game for Rovers at Portsmouth on Saturday, with over 18,000 fans, and 2,300 Gasheads expected to fill Fratton Park. Darrell said: “It is a great game for us; there will be 18,000 fans there, against a Portsmouth team in good form. It is up to the boys to rise to the occasion. “If you are not up for this game you shouldn’t be playing football. “I know Andy Awford very well, and he has been at the club for his whole career. He knows all about the players and the fans are right behind him – he has lifted the whole club and brought it all together." Rovers still have their destiny in their own hands, and the manager believes we have to look forward. He said: “It is a massive game, there is no papering over the cracks. There are four cup finals, and this is the first one. “We go into the game knowing where we need to be, we are not going to be in the bottom two, and there might be an opportunity to move up some places if we get the win we are looking for. “It is in our hands, and we have to do a lot better than we did on Saturday. “However, none of the past matters now, it is about pulling together and making sure we go out there and do this football club justice.” In team news, Danny Woodards and Michael Smith have missed training earlier this week. Darrell said: “Danny and Michael have missed the early part of the week in training, but we hope they are going to come through alright. “Chris Beardsley has an ongoing knee problem, which we have had to manage. So we will look at those three. “Fabian got through 60 minutes on Tuesday, his knee has swollen up a little bit, but we are hoping to have him out on the training pitch tomorrow.”
That's not good - Smith, Woodards and The Hammer - probably our best three players all doubtful. I think my 0-0 prediction may change 2-0 Pompey
Winger Fabian Broghammer could be named in Bristol Rovers' squad for the first time this season after recovering from a knee injury. The trio of Danny Woodards, Michael Smith and Chris Beardsley are all doubtful for the visitors. Portsmouth team news to follow. Rovers, who have won just one game from their last eight matches, are one point above the relegation places with four games remaining. Bristol Rovers boss Darrell Clarke told BBC Radio Bristol: "I'm determined to get us over the line [for League Two survival] and I will do. "We will get there, without a shadow of a doubt - we just have to keep believing. "The supporters have been fantastic all season, we lost them Saturday [ in the 2-1 home loss to bottom side Torquay ] and we have to get them back on side - I'm determined to do that."
Should be a good game, looks like it's going to be a sellout. Unfortunately after series of incompetent fraudster owners, due to health and safety reasons the capacity of FP has been reduced to about 18500ish but more than enough for a good atmosphere, especially with a decent away following as yourselves.
Goalless draw for me. Neither side score many goals so lets hope last week at Dagenham was an exception for Pompey!
