Pompey's return to League One begins today with a home game against Rochdale. The Pompey team is as follows: McGee; Talbot, Burgess, Whatmough, Holmes-Dennis; Baker, Rose; Evans,Pitman (c), Bennett; Chaplin Subs: Bass, Davies, May, Naismith, Lowe, Main, Kabamba I'm assuming 4-2-3-1 formation. Good to see home-grown talent in Whatmough and Chaplin getting to start.
Listening to Kenny Jackett getting interviewed by Express FM a moment ago made me think that the thing I will miss most about Paul Cook is hearing him pronounce everything as "Everton".
Hasn't settled yet but it seems to have changed into a game of long-balls, with both sides kicking long and giving it away.
Rochdale sound like they're attack and threatening more than Pompey - and just have their next corner - but there's not much to it as far as end result goes.
It was not quite in the penalty area so it's a free-kick, not a penalty, my mistake. In my defence, I'm listening to the radio and cant actually see what's happening.
