Who are Ya? Brentford were formed in 1889 and have been at Griffin Park since 1904. Along with Pompey they were founder members of the Third Division South in 1920. They won the league in 1933 and, at the 2nd attempt, won promotion to the First Division [Premier League]. They reached the final of the London War Cup in both of its seasons, losing to Reading in 1941, and winning against FA Cup holders Portsmouth in 1942. They were relegated in 1947, the first season after the war, and found themselves back in the Third Division South in 1954. The were relegated to the Fourth Division in 1962, but won that division the following year. Relegation again in 1966 resulted in a longer stay in the bottom tier. They spent just 1 more season outside the Fourth Division between then and 1978. In 1992 they gained promotion to Div 1 [Championship] and spent a single season in the 2nd tier; their first since 1954 and most recent to date. Since then they have spent time in both of the lower leagues and have been in the 3rd tier since winning League Two in 2009. Match Odds (at Skybet) Pompey â 19/10 Brentford â 7/5 Draw â 23/10 Mystic Devo The Bees won at Boreham Wood in the Cup on Saturday but they are without an away win in the league, although theyâve drawn 5 of 7. Pompey lost at home in the cup but have won their last three home league games. A close encounter in which I think Brentford would settle for a point. Devo reckons: Pompey 2-1 Brentford
Pompey 2-1 Brentford. As I said before, as well as Arsenal, Brentford is Amanda's favourite English team. What can you do about girls who support two teams ?? Anyway we were talking on skype last night- and she said she's supporting Portsmouth for the game tonight .. didn't talk about the game too much, don't think she cares about this game as much as she cares about Arsenal's Champions League game tonight unfortunately! PUP! She's the one on the left And now she's the one on the floor ..... They're both from when she was playing for Norway- in the World CUp in Brazil 2011. She won gold!
