Portsmouth manager Paul Cook has signed Benin international Romuald Boco for the sixth time. The 30-year-old midfielder, or right back, played under Cook at Sligo Rovers three times between 2008 and 2012, as well as at Accrington and Chesterfield. The duo also played together at Stanley in 2005-2006. Boco has signed on a deal until the end of the season and has been sent straight out on loan to National League South side Havant & Waterlooville. The 48-time capped international made 19 appearances for Chesterfield last season before leaving in January to join Indian side Bharat FC.
Don't get this signing Wooperts except the fact that Cook has signed him 6 times now I read. He was one of ours a while back and to be honest was pretty average at best. I can't remember a single game he shone in although he wasn't terrible terrible either. Just not a signing I would have expected Portsmouth to make.
We can't afford the Kyle Walkers of this world, Greeny. We have to "cut your coat according to your cloth" as the saying goes. Paul Cook knows him, knows what he can do, and knows he will fit in without "rocking the boat". I'm happy with all his signings so far. That's good enough for me
