Yeah you can say that again.
hadn't noticed that, when was the last championship game (or premier league game for that matter) shown live on the beeb?
I agree, nobody outside of Southampton or Portsmouth takes the rivalry seriously. I've never understood why?

Prior to the BBC buying up the rights to the Football League - and subsequently showing about 10 live Championship games - I'm sure league football hadn't been shown live on terrestrial for many a year. And this contract of the BBC's started just as we left the Championship! (And I believe this is the last year of the contract, and the BBC haven't renewed it).
I do have a feeling though that our FA Cup game against them in 2005, when Crouch scored that injury-time winner from the penatly spot, might have been on the BBC. I'm not certain, and I'm happy to be proved wrong, but I do have a feeling it might have been.
