Suprised were being allowed to bring in players, even on loan, but f the parent club agree to pay the wages then fine by me.
In some ways I agree with you here .. bringing in players;albeit on loan, in our current situation is quite frankly madness
And not being able to field a team is also maddness. Huseklepp (one of our 13 available players) left the club today, so we needed a cheaper replacement. To be honest, I don't see what the problem is. Huseklepp + wages out (being paid by Brum), 500k + Allan in (wages being paid by West Brom).
I thought for one moment that we had signed a punchy, Scot figure skater, but I guess he will make up the numbers rather like our accountants.
Very sorry to see The Viking go, albeit on loan, at the moment. A bit lightweight to my mind, but very skillful, with a nice shot on him. He could well help Brum gain promotion - Saints watch out
Only watched on TV but he looks a right handful to me Understand why Pompey moved him out of course, but doesn,t it make a nonsense of the "transfer window now closed". he is in reality a Birmingham player now and this will be formalised at the end of the season. The football league is run by fools - but we already knew that didn,t we Wooperts
The transfer window is closed. However, clubs in the Football League can sign players on loan outside of the transfer windows. This was not the case last time Portsmouth went into admin, as they were a Premier League club at the time. But the loan transfer window closes some time in March, I think. Loaning out the expensive players (Kitson, Lawrence, Huseklepp) and loaning in youngsters from bigger clubs where the bigger club will pay the wages in order for their player to get first team experience is exactly what Portsmouth should be doing.
People don't want kitson, Lawrence, moko, and Mullins. They want our young players who are on low wages and are our best players.
I think a general malaise will prevail, after this latest turn of events. Erik seemed very popular with the other players and he will be missed.
Also I find it hard to believe, that this Dyslexic Saint and the one that resided on BBC606 are one and the same. Maybe this one spells Dyslexic differently.
I dont think Eric's ever really been that good. He dribbles a lot but doesn't get past defenders all that much and he gets into good positions but doesn't finish well. Maybe its just that he never settled properly into the English game here and Birmingham will see him flower into a much more complete player. Dont get me wrong, I like him and think he could be a very good player for the Championship level at least but it'll be like Joey Kamara, he had potential we never saw the best of him here.
He was our top goalscorer. Getting rid of your top goalscorer is pretty much a statement of intent. We're ****ed.
