When do we get to hear? I can't find the article on the OS and seem to remember that if you haven't heard by Dec 1st then you have lost out. However not sure if anyone knows when emails will start to go out. Cheers
Strewth godders he is talking about the away trip to Pompey and the possible lottery of getting a ticket!!
I'd rather watch it on telly with my friends, with a couple of social beers.. than go to fratton park and get mugged by the inbred society.
So I guess the upshot of 2 helpful comments is 'don't know' I've been to more than enough aways to qualify so the only doubt for me is the other season tickets on my application so just a little edgy on that. As I live in a PO4 postcode, and despite the extra travel and being able to wave to my house from the coach, this one's a no brainer for me and I can't wait!
Thanks for the English lesson Saints called it a ballot so I was simply using their terms rather than calling it a lottery. Technically though, lottery would be the wrong use of words wouldn't you agree? as lottery suggests random even chances - as this is based on away games attended then not everyone's entry is equal? A little bit like Animal Farm - "all animals are equal but some are more equal than others"....i've always loved that quote but never thought i'd use it on a football forum!
So it is not a lottery and it is not a ballot so what is it? I haven't been to enough away games to qualify so the lovely Mrs Godders and I will be sitting in our local pub to watch the game. I can't afford sky and even if I could I wouldn't give the Murdochs one penny of my money. Anyway every spare copper in this household is going in the tin ready to help us meet the price increase for a season ticket when we are in the PL. We plan ahead in this household and when all the moaning minnies appear when it is season ticket renewal time whinging aboout the cost of their ticket and that they have no money I shall remind them that I said start saving now on the 23/11/2011. If you put ten quid away a week starting from now you should have enough to buy your season ticket in July.
From your post i take it you think the game is on sky? i'm pleased to inform you that it's not and is on the good old BBC.
Thank you for letting me know. I wont have to buy the very lovely Mrs Godders a small glass of sherry in the pub now. I don't want to spoil her you know she might come to expect it.
Nah, I think we will end up comfortable winners. And anyway, Pompey have never been much of a draw, I mean look at their attendances! So, it's not a ballot, it's not a lottery, so what could it be.....?
