Pompey Academy win in the league 2-0 against Southend Academy at Furze Lane.

They opened the scoring early on with Brandon Joseph-Buadi pulling the ball back for Kim Jae Heon to fire home from the edge of the box.

Fahad Rwakarambwe then secured a fifth successive victory in the closing stages after being teed-up by substitute Christian Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Good to see young Christian making the under 18 side - will he be as good a player in the future, as his elder brother one wonders ? Let us hope so.

Give him a go in the first team. Can't be any worse than the rest of them.

Agreed. We may as well play the whole academy squad and I doubt we'd do any worse.

You and Pie are probably right <ok>

Young Bradley Tarbuck certainly wouldn't look out of place

Pompey Academy win their 7th match on the trot, following a 3-0 win against Crawley Academy, with goals from Bradley Tarbuck with a penalty, Fahad Rwakarambwe, and Jae Heon Kim. They have now kept a clean sheet in six of the last seven games (if only our first team could achieve that eh :emoticon-0108-speec)

maybe GW and co should go take a look at these lads, quite a few of the first team could do with learning about team spirit and hard work! Ertl could certainly learn a few things from them!

GW probably doesn't want to give them too much of a baptism of fire, but if needs must, he should cetainly consider a place on the bench for a couple of 17 year olds.
